We are ok with the tigers crowd right, I feel it’s pretty decent considering basically everything. Well done Campbelltown tiger fans
Highest crowd between the sides at Campbelltown since April 2009 (17,898 that day), and third highest overall WST v NEW at Campbelltown since the merger in 2000. Was the 11th such fixture played there.

Overall, fourth highest crowd at Campbelltown since COVID - all three above it were 17k+ and took place last year (v Parra, Saints, Broncos).

So dragons are limited to 16k at kogarah these days?

This probably gets 25k at SFS
They had 18,412 for the same fixture last year. From the telecast there were some gaps in the stands behind the ingoal and the hill wasn't completely full.

Still, I think if it was at Allianz, they would have gone close to selling out for the opening round. Both sets of fans were confident heading in.

Kogarah looks great

It sort of does mate. And it sort of doesn't.
16 - 17000 considered at capacity is about 4-5000 less than what its actually capacity has been in the past.
I know OHS has killed capacity, but there is absolutely no reason why another just 2000 could not fit into that ground this afternoon.
Brookie looks the same tonight.

Ground capacity records are -

Brookvale - 27,655 - 31/8/86 NSWRL: Manly v Parramatta

Kogarah - 23,582 - 4/5/1975 NSWRL: St. George v South Sydney

I also understand that some stands have been built at both grounds since those records were established, which as we all know, also reduces capacity. I have an issue these days with the limits they put on hills/sitting/standing room capacity. It could also be that the ground facilities are also just not up to scratch to today's modern standards demanded by fans. Toilet, catering, and ingress/egress facilities for example.
We have been spoilt by re-builds to the SFS and Parramatta Stadium.
It just looks so much worse watching games being played in these grounds, even if they are supposedly full.

As for the NRL's decision to schedule this match at Oki-Jubilee rather than Allianz - shame on them. There would have been at least 30 000 tonight, and it very possibly could have been a sell out with the right promotion.

Kogarah continues to disappoint.

f**k it off.

It's not just Kogarah.
The NRL are currently running on a high of Sydney clubs with huge supporter bases showing signs of huge growth.
Bulldogs, Tigers, Dragons and Eels.
We need to make the most of that and playing these games at tiny suburban grounds is just throwing away massive potential for growth and further building supporter bases.

Sales are looking promising for 20K+. Lower bowl sideline seats are gone, bronze bays behind the posts are either sold out or down to single seats, gold middle bays are selling into back 3-5 rows on the west and east respectively.

Previously pre-sales like that would be 20K+

If Dragons want to be a strong club, then half of their games should be at Allianz to take advantage of corporates and extra capacity.

For Tigers, Campbelltown or the south west corridor is their future
