Daily Tele had an article this morning that Penrith are only expecting around 10,000 for Friday. Noted the club has some busses heading from Penrith way.

Just general vibes, but think we’ll be in for a dip of crowds this year.

Disappointing to read that. Seems low compared to what Ticketek is showing, though there is zero value for the club to give the media a prediction like that unless that's truly what they are expecting. Wonder if a lot of seats simply aren't on sale or if they are just expecting low turn out from members?

St George should definitely be moving games from their current pisspot to a decent stadium. Last week was embarrassing for them.

Hopefully Penrith supporters will get to Commbank in numbers and get used to playing in a nice new stadium for their return to an upgraded Penrith Park.

I know a lot peoples circumstances are different and there are reasons some wont to be able to travel to Commbank as regularly for home games but the way Penrith play they should at least get home crowd averages there of at least 15-16, 000.

Also public transport is now free for games to and from Commbank stadium.

Bit of a reality check for all those idiots saying teams should be moving games from their home ground to the so called 'larger modern' stadiums.

Yes and no. Penrith, like Cronulla and Manly, has a very geographically concentrated fan base, so moving any games away from their home game is risky. For clubs like Souths, Bulldogs, Dragons, Eels (and even the Wests Tigers and Roosters), their fan bases have often spread across the city, so moving a game away from their 'home' is less risky, and if it's the right game, with the right opponent, offers a lot of upside.

The balancing act is working out which games are worth moving, ensuring they take place at an appropriate timeslot and the right investment in marketing and transport is put in place.

Here at Newcastle lots of people around hopefully pushes into the 20s. Only home game this lot has for many many weeks so could drive interest.
