What does anyone gain from this sort of petty shit?

"ooooh, I got to put shit on a team I hate"?

Nobody benefits from a shit crowd. The game is weaker for it.

There are also some pretty clear differences between Dol v Bne as opposed to SGI v Melb, no?

Like it's really pretty obvious.

Three weeks ago St George got a full house at the same venue.
It's a crowd thread right? Nowhere near good enough from Souths or Dragons this weekend. Two of the game's supposed biggest fan bases.

Really? The famous red V couldn't even muster 7k but in worse weather we got 44k in Brisbane. Another famous old club who's popularity seems to be a myth. At this point start kicking them out and replace them with Ipswich and the NRL crowd averages will be better for it.
It’s in a busy area of Sydney with no parking. Taking the trains out made it impossible. You literally have to walk kilometres after parking in a street anywhere if you are lucky to find a park at all. Surprised they got that many tbh.

Sure, but what does pointing out the obvious like that do?

Make you feel good about bagging another state? I don't get it. Surely those of us in here chatting crowds want all RL crowds to be good. Just bagging the shit out of some obviously poor crowds doesn't help the game at all

The Thursday night brings in big Tv $'s but is sht for fans. Clubs now get a massive grant due to it, they should throw the doors open on a Thursday night and sell any seat for $10. They've already made their money out of it being on tv.
Every stadium in Australia can probably support 1 Thursday night game ..

Be smart spread em out and you would get ok crowds, Newcastle , Central Coast, Gold Coast, etc would all get 1 good crowd on a Thursday as it would feel like a one off event

Problem is channel 9 wants the big Sydney teams on tv and they are the exact market who won't go on Thurs

Tigers game on track for 14k+ weather dependant

We’ve been hit with a shit stick for bad time slots so far with our home games but in a few weeks we play Eels at Commbank for Easter Monday and Sharks at Leichhardt

if our form holds until then I think both home games sell out

when is that happening?

Their Contract to play at Accor finishes at the end of 2030. Blake Solly resigned in 2021, a year before Allianz Stadium opened. Used the fact that Accor wasn't getting refurbished to renegotiate a better deal with Accor. Even if they're getting paid a bunch of money, still a terrible deal. Accor should be deleted from regular season fixtures outside of specific event games.

It's no coincidence that the past couple of years that have not had any Accor Stadium games in early rounds have been viewed as better attended. Not to say they haven't been better attended, but has helped not having 60-70k empty seats on broadcasts, just as much if not more.

Only 16 seats remain for today's game at Brookvale.

Hoping the Titans can get a decent crowd next week against the Dolphins with a few wins in a row now.

Rabbits v Dogs Good Friday should be a good crowd coming up. If the Rabbits can string two more wins and the dogs go in, in 1st place I could see mid 50's and with a bit of extra marketing into low 60's.

Nah man Brisbane fans are the best because they braved the rain and sat undercover for a local derby at a ground that's probably the most easily accessible in the league.

Every other fan base sucks.

Titans have an entertaining footy side this year, I think they can get low to mid 20s vs the dolphins
