2025 Crowd Watch

Ok mate, clubs are using the strategy with all the data at their fingertips that you and I don't have. Crowds are up and so is revenue. I think it's safe to say they've got it right. It's just a fantasy to suggest that simply lowering ticket prices will magically fill stadiums. It's more likely that a few more will attend but for less overall revenue for the club. It's a balance.

Where did I say it will fill the Stadium? We are talking about prices staying the same outside of GA. Turning the 13k GC crowd last week into 15-16k and using the playing standard on field to get those new fans to return

People on here commented on the nice weather was up there. So people rightly will head to the beach over the game.

Roosters v Panthers next week will prob draw 23k. A GA family ticket not costing $120 may draw more there

There's no evidence or guarantee that 16k would happen though because of cheaper tickets. If the clubs could make more by dropping the price, they'd already be doing it

I agree, thats where pricing is wrong. Rl is traditionally a working class game and having sections that are very cheap so its accesible to all would be a good thing. Make behind the sticks in those stadiums with lots of spare capacity $10 and $5 and give families without a lot of disposable income an opportunity to go to the game.

Thats a big assumption of clubs! Pretty sure we have some good examples of where cheap tickets deals have boosted crowds.

That’s a laughable appeal to authority. Like private businesses never make mistakes lol. Has anyone here seen the clip of Steve Balaughing about the iPhone?

For the record I’m not saying either way is necessarily right but your reasoning is definitely wrong.

Edit: bloody autocorrect.

All 17 clubs are making the same mistake? Talk about laughable

And There is a perfect example of a club who could do with cheaper GA tickets to add a few thousand in.

Maybe it gets some people to head there after work, decide live NRL and return.
actually does make sense for the Dolphins to offer cheap tickets for the next few years to attract fans that might be casual Broncos fans

I get NRL clubs and NRL in general think it cheapens the product but people don't have to watch sport live these days.

Particularly NRL that has back to back games, Need to do more to get people to attend

pax is 30500 for good friday

they are selling around 2k tickets a day atm
Does that 30,500 include members eg Dad and I have diamond Rabbitohs member passes and are going as it’s reciprocal rights!

I think it’ll hit 60,000 mate probs 61-62k.

Level 6 East is now on sale for Good Friday (rows 1 to 9 only)
Not withstanding the fact they haven't put all of Level 4 East on sale (are the rest reserved for Rabbitohs members?), this is a great sign.

For King's Birthday last year, Level 6 East opened only on the day of the game (that drew 45,496).

45,000 would appear to be the minimum crowd size for Good Friday now.

Perhaps the two things that potentially stand between an all-time regular season crowd record are:
1. The weather
2. Whether South Sydney can beat North Queensland this weekend and take good momentum into Good Friday.

Ticket sales have really slowed for Broncos vs Roosters, unfortunately.

I'll revise down to 38-40k. Hopefully more flex members elected into this game over the Tigers game, and traditionally stadium members show in better numbers on Friday nights, so we'll see.

Just on the talk of the GC stuff;
We do 10x more marketing than the Suns, easily. Just take a stroll through Surfers; our players' faces are on flags, banners, posters. We’re everywhere. There's advertisements for the club on the side of Westfields in the Northern part of the Coast and across bus stops, buses, etc. up and down the coast. Meanwhile, I’ve only ever seen Suns marketing in and around their stadium. That’s it.

With the phins crowd - Keep in mind Phins were 0-4, their hype has died down a fair bit as they enter season 3, and our member turn outs were as I expected (as I was saying on the day that I don't trust our members to show up and show out). However, I also am fully in agreeance that charging $100+ for a sideline seat as a club who has consistently been bottom 4 is woeful. But the club is unfortunately choosing to ignore my emails regarding the pricing, but will gladly respond to literally any other enquiry I have regarding game day.

They need to take a financial hit for a while & make games as affordable as possible, build an atmosphere that draws people to the game, despite their performance.
