Maybe the AFL bought half the ticketsAAMI Park not looking particularly full at the moment, security might be running slower in light of the morons who took guns into the MCG the other week though.
Very good crowd
$11.90 for half a pint of mid strength hurt though and kept me sober!
I actually didn't know it was on until yesterday. There is no marketing for double headers. People talk/think about the Vegas and Magic round. Double headers aren't marketable. The double header had months to sell tickets for and we get this.
This is why the GF isn't leaving NSW or QLD
Agreed. Stadium Australia is the absolute worst/lowest the NRL should go.rugby league at AFL grounds needs to be banned. If they play in Perth it should be at HBF park

I get the feeling the Tigers need a W to inject a bit of excitement into the somewhat-forgotten Easter Monday clash between the Tigers and the Eels. There's still a swathe of tickets available for that game.
Smart move by Dolphins. I think the Broncos and Dolphins should both play over there the weekend after the Perth SOO.For a sport that averages around 20K, I still don't get why we are all being so harsh on Perth getting 31K yesterday.
I mean we can count on one hand all the clubs who will draw a larger crowd this year.
Anyway rather than looking at just one event, we should consider everything taking place in Perth this year. Origin is selling great & will sell out. Extra seats have been added this year (versus last time), so it will push close to 65K.
Meanwhile the Dolphins Round 16 game at HBF Park is trending ahead of the same fixture last year & will most likely sell out.
That's 110K+ from 3 events. That's far from an insignificant number and IMO enough evidence to suggest there is enough support for an NRL franchise.
Most of the empty seats today would be members who couldn’t attend. If they keep approaching capacity the Storm should introduce a seat return scheme for individual matches to try and maximise the crowd.Unfortunately, we now live in a day and age that a sold-out crowd never, or rarely means full capacity is reached.
It's really frustrating tbh.
To be fair, Storm are favourites to win the competition with one of the most entertaining teams in the comp.Melbourne outdrew Newcastle:
