Great crowd in Melbourne and the ever-reliable Novocastrians are out in force.
I get the feeling the Tigers need a W to inject a bit of excitement into the somewhat-forgotten Easter Monday clash between the Tigers and the Eels. There's still a swathe of tickets available for that game.
We won’t get 25K after that atrocity today. Only glutens for punishment like me will rock up. 18k at most.Manly v Saints 17k
Dogs v Bunnies 56k
Phins v Storm 24k
Warriors v Bronx 23k
Easts v Penrith 22k
Tits v Canberra 14k
Knights v Sharks 25k
Tigers v Eels 24k

who would the teams be (apart from Storm of course)? To be fair, Storm are favourites to win the competition with one of the most entertaining teams in the comp.
Newcastle just got flogged by the Tigers..
It is very encouraging to see these Melbourne crowds though!
I'd like to see them host a double header at the MCG Next year during gather round.
Broncos will probably be one of them as they have a decent following in Victoria. Manly and the Roosters both have had huge growth in support in Victoria (at least from what I've seen in the outer South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne). Souths and St George are two other good options alongside the Warriors. With Parramatta ending their contract in the Northern Territory, they could sell one of their games to Victoria as wellwho would the teams be (apart from Storm of course)?

The key point from some creative Googling:
Canterbury Bulldogs are now expecting a crowd of up to 70,000 at Accor on Good Friday judging by early ticket sales.

A mammoth round for crowds next week, especially without a Brisbane home game as well.
^^
Thank you!!
A dull article for what should be hyped by the press (and Buzz) as an historic event for rugby league!!
If they want a team they are going to have to show up every fortnight, not three times a year. It was a poor crowd because it was an event game, at the city's best stadium and is in decline from crowds to these Perth double headers of the pastFor a sport that averages around 20K, I still don't get why we are all being so harsh on Perth getting 31K yesterday.
I mean we can count on one hand all the clubs who will draw a larger crowd this year.
Anyway rather than looking at just one event, we should consider everything taking place in Perth this year. Origin is selling great & will sell out. Extra seats have been added this year (versus last time), so it will push close to 65K.
Meanwhile the Dolphins Round 16 game at HBF Park is trending ahead of the same fixture last year & will most likely sell out.
That's 110K+ from 3 events. That's far from an insignificant number and IMO enough evidence to suggest there is enough support for an NRL franchise.
I wonder why?If they want a team they are going to have to show up every fortnight, not three times a year. It was a poor crowd because it was an event game, at the city's best stadium and is in decline from crowds to these Perth double headers of the past
Security was very thorough today. Had to take everything out of bags so they could check that nothing was hidden in bottom of bagsAAMI Park not looking particularly full at the moment, security might be running slower in light of the morons who took guns into the MCG the other week though.
Warriors, Broncos, Souths.who would the teams be (apart from Storm of course)?
Why wouldn't Perth put its best foot forward when negotiating getting it's own club?I wonder why?
Out of all the positives that this is..this is what they write?SPOTTED
The Canterbury Bulldogs are now expecting a crowd of up to 70,000 at Accor on Good Friday judging by early ticket sales. CEO Aaron Warburton has security meetings planned with police and stadium security staff in the lead up to the game to prevent a repeat of recent spectator incidents.
A stadium spokesperson said: “Venues NSW has a zero-tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour and we have in place strong processes to identify, respond to and resolve incidents.
Any offenders will be dealt with by police and face bans from attending future events.”
No reason, talks are ongoing and the team will be sorted. Piss poor effortI wonder why?
