Heading into King's Birthday last year, the Bulldogs were 10th and the Eels were 15th on the ladder. If the Bulldogs are still flying high in 2025, it should help to offset Parramatta's slow start to the year. You'd think 45k would be achievable again under this scenario.
Hopefully Parramatta can get going with Moses back in the next few weeks and hit King's Birthday with some good momentum. That would definitely help to push the crowd above 2024.
Also in a long look forward into the second half of the draw:
- Bulldogs vs Sea Eagles on Sunday 27 July at 4:00pm at Allianz to honour the 30-year anniversary of the 1995 Grand Final at Moore Park. This should be a good candidate for a 40,000 crowd
- Roosters vs Bulldogs on Friday 15 August at 4:00pm at Allianz as the first game in Sydney's inaugural Gadhu Gathering for Indigenous Round. This should be another strong candidate for a good crowd
After a slightly slow season start to attendances, there is seriously so much to look forward to coming up.
Love your input bud.
However, please don't rely on my beloved blue and golds to boost that in any way!!
What is most exciting these days is that if at any stage in the future, the 5
big Sydney clubs actually become 5 big Sydney clubs on the table all at the same time. I'm talking about the Bulldogs, Rabbitohs, Eels, Tigers and Dragons.
The potential for record breaking crowds then would be massive.
Penrith, Sharks, Roosters and Manly? Meh.
