2025 Crowd Watch

Given the hype that is building they should set up a redemption code for the souths members with reciprocal rights to allocate their seats. They'll be able to track the demand far better with that, and it would be a simple barcode entry into ticketek.

Can't f**king wait to turn the volume up to like 8000 and watch this

With Moses back dogs eels which looks like 4 pm Sunday on June 9 will also be massive

Yes if Eels can pick up a few wins that will be massive.

Monday 4pm public holiday, King’s Birthday game. Should be a large crowd as well.

Heading into King's Birthday last year, the Bulldogs were 10th and the Eels were 15th on the ladder. If the Bulldogs are still flying high in 2025, it should help to offset Parramatta's slow start to the year. You'd think 45k would be achievable again under this scenario.

Hopefully Parramatta can get going with Moses back in the next few weeks and hit King's Birthday with some good momentum. That would definitely help to push the crowd above 2024.

Also in a long look forward into the second half of the draw:
- Bulldogs vs Sea Eagles on Sunday 27 July at 4:00pm at Allianz to honour the 30-year anniversary of the 1995 Grand Final at Moore Park. This should be a good candidate for a 40,000 crowd
- Roosters vs Bulldogs on Friday 15 August at 4:00pm at Allianz as the first game in Sydney's inaugural Gadhu Gathering for Indigenous Round. This should be another strong candidate for a good crowd

More record-breaking crowd content, this time from the NRL itself:

As he sits in traffic, Preston is dreaming about the future. He's dreaming about running out for the Bulldogs in front of packed stadiums.

This dream has rapidly become a reality, the forward developing into a household name and preparing to play in front of more than 60,000 passionate fans in Canterbury's annual Good Friday clash with the Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium.

---

And also this from the same article:

Preston's teammates are confident he can deliver on the big stage and Friday's clash in front of a record-breaking crowd is a chance to send a message to Blues coach Laurie Daley.

So if 1/media coverage, 2/NRL articles, 3/pax + factor, and 4/TfNSW event planning are the four indicators to estimate crowd size, three of the four indicators are now increasingly confident of a record-breaking 60,000+ crowd.

It's now only TfNSW which needs to update it's guidance from "nearly 60,000" to "over 60,000" to get a full set.

Who would go to a Matildas game these days... That's bad from Visit Sydney that they don't promote the big Rugby League games on Good Friday or ANZAC DAY
The absurd opening query aside, as has been explained previously in this thread, Visit Sydney promote events that are partnered with Destination NSW.

The NRL only does that for marquee events like Origin and the Grand Final (when you see the Visit NSW logo painted on the field)

Anyone got the full article? I assume it is talking about the Dolphins’ home game swap with Souths now being same day as Broncos V Warriors.
Wow. This will impact both crowds negatively IMO, mostly because the Stadium members will not attend both.

In saying that, I am almost certain that the Broncos are not counting stadium members in our crowds, and wish to only announce their members, corporates, and general ticket sales. I think their rationale is that they will only announce their attendance, rather than stadium attendance.

Who would go to a Matildas game these days...

Well, plenty actually. Still.
Over the past two years they have the highest aggregate crowds for any national team in this country by a f**king mile.

Newcastle was sold out twice in the past week.
Once by the Knights, and once by the Matilda's.

Knight's crowd was 25690.
Matilda's crowd was 28017

Let's not forget that the Matilda's have sold out 15 straight games in this country.
I'm not even sure why you are bothered by them. Isn't this a RL crowd discussion thread?

After a slightly slow season start to attendances, there is seriously so much to look forward to coming up.
Love your input bud.
However, please don't rely on my beloved blue and golds to boost that in any way!! :)

What is most exciting these days is that if at any stage in the future, the 5 big Sydney clubs actually become 5 big Sydney clubs on the table all at the same time. I'm talking about the Bulldogs, Rabbitohs, Eels, Tigers and Dragons.
The potential for record breaking crowds then would be massive.
Penrith, Sharks, Roosters and Manly? Meh.

I dunno, I reckon it could work out well for the Dolphins, Broncos crowd will likely sellout regardless but could cop a slight hit from stadium members.

Dolphins could leverage off the Broncos crowd being at the stadium the same day by offering discounts for people to do both games. Then work with Suncorp and BCC to create a festival type atmosphere like Magic round around the stadium to try and keep people in the area.

In theory it sounds like a pretty cool idea if they can pull it off.

Not sure if this was already put up as a Cat before - but also looks like they will have an 'Easter Saver' section. Not sure where that will be allocated. Maybe Level 3?
Easter Saver is showing on the level 6 western side, and currently $0 a ticket (but you can't book) - they are actively updating the map. Some kind of offer must be about to go out. Crazy stuff!

EDIT: Easter saver have been updated to $10 a pop. They WANT 70k, and with options like that, they can get it.

$10 Adult tickets. They're going for the sellout, aren't they. Neutrals should jump on these tickets in the next 24 hours you would imagine. I'd get in quick.

To do this, you would have to imagine Level 1 GA (Bluezone) is largely sold out already.

They should have just priced 'silver' at $10, weird to open the other side. I guess they feel that those open in level 6 east will sell anyway

Any of the resident experts know how the other Good Friday game is tracking at Suncorp? Dolphins would be hoping for 25k+ I’d imagine.
