Liverpool is not a serious concept under any level of government at the moment.
Canterbury has this fortnight proved why Accor is still relevant and important for the growth of rugby league in terms of both attendances and the public consciousness of the general public. If other clubs put this much effort into promoting attendance culture for home games (including probably most notably South Sydney at Accor, rather than the constant public attempts to get out of a contracted arrangement until 2030), the game would be better for it.
Disappointing result today for South Sydney, they were never in the game. The hype around the Bulldogs is legit, and today showed why - a big performance in front of a record regular season crowd. If they beat the Broncos in Brisbane next week and manage to come back from Magic Round still undefeated the hype around this group will be unprecedented (as may well be the crowd for King's Birthday).
The Bulldogs did everything right this fortnight for promoting a big public holiday game, and hopefully they will take the same approach into marketing the King's Birthday game vs. Parramatta. And performing under pressure in front of these record crowds will only do them well for the pressure cooker situation that is finals football.
