great day for crowds, particularly doggies v bunnies.
as for dolphins, decent effort. not to poop on their party...but, not saying they SHOULD be getting bigger crowds, but they COULD be getting bigger crowds. apart from the talk today about their rubbish ticket allocations, I feel they had a real chance to create a point of difference as the new kids and really work on game day experience. lower prices for families, etc. i've loved the few times ive heard trumpet man in the crowd. 'phins up' is great. i just hope they dont just settle for 'meh' like so many other clubs do.
maybe doggies have turned a corner...no 'who let the dogs out' as the team came out today...a true easter miracle ;)

So we're already at 110,583 after just three games (36,861 avg) and looking at another 70K+ from just the Warriors, Knights & Wests Tigers games.

Unknowns are Roosters & Titans games. Roosters is showing signs that it could get to 20K & Titans maybe 15K, though with large GA areas, it's hard to be confident.
my mate got free tickets to roosters game so will be attending that, always pleasure to visit new sfs

There crowd tonight benefited from a heap of Prictorians being there. Might be a good fixture to lock in the calendar each year as there are heaps of them travelling up for the fumble game the night before.

You've never sat up there have you?

You can't see the crowd on the other side. The roof view starts just above the field. It's like you're watching the game in a coffin with the side board open.
Why do you need to see the crowd on the other side? Lmao

I’ll leave the over-dramatics alone.

28k is absolutely amazing for a team at the bottom end of the ladder. It's not meh !

On what bloody metric should they be doing better? What is this based on exactly? They are literally the second highest attended Rugby club on the planet!
In their 3rd year!
Absolutely delusional.

Of course we all want better but I think we should be directing that at clubs that could seriously be doing better!!!

The Dogs just showed how much better the Sydney clubs can be if they get their marketing and pricing right!
A normal game for the Dogs should be 40k when they're middling. Same with Souths.
There's 82,000 seats , stop trying to sell them as if they're rare ffs
Sidelines should be $30 and $10 everywhere else.
Average 50k easily!
Greedy clubs are our problem.

The NRL should be incentivising clubs and financially rewarding those that make efforts to encourage big crowd is the most obvious solution.

I have no issue with premium seats attracting premium pricing (although often it is probably overs), but yeah make GA 10 bucks and fill the joint. Better to have 40k at $10 than 10K at $40

If you reread my post, I think you’ll find that I agree with all your points. Literally said not should be doing better, but could be. ’meh’ was in reference to game day experience.

Fans drop off attending when teams are crap* - huge revelation if true.

Also, "all your life"? Were you born in 2010? Dogs v Eels prelim 2009 hello

* except the Knights
And except Broncos and Dolphins. Broncos averaged 40k last year whilst getting pounded every week and the Phins have not made the finals yet and have averaged over 20k all three seasons

Rabbitohs members area on Level 4 was full, apparently up on Level 6 was choccas too. Based on my vantage point I'd guess 52-53k Dogs fans and 12-13k Souths fans.

On a side note, I had 3 separate groups of Dogs fans yell "f**k the Bunnies!" out of car windows at me and my 11 year old son as we were walking to our car in Lidcombe.

Worst winners in the NRL and I know many fans who refuse to go to their games. But boy of boy did they turn out today.
The worst experiences I've had at games is at Rabbitohs and Panthers games. Sorry for your experience Yobbo, unfortunately all supporter bases contains merkins.
