Members and no shows44,613 thought it was sold out? Or is this just the first game?
First game. Last year we only saw a single crowd for Friday, but 2023 was 41,462 first then 50,077 total.44,613 thought it was sold out? Or is this just the first game?
Your first time in SE Qld?When warriors play tomorrow the crowd should be insane... They are f**king everywhere tonight.
So people buy tickets for the sake of buying it, then don't show up?Members and no shows
Lots of fans from Wellington got planes cancelled due to weather
Pus people coming late for the second game

You forgot the strippers and working girls.Going by some of the people that I went with up there one year, they're either at the pub or the casino. They probably only watch the team they support.
They buy the 3 day pass, tell their partners they're going to watch football all weekend and then drink and gamble the whole weekend.
.
Melbourne have slowly but steadily and kind of quietly crept their average attendances up over the years.
From bouncing around 9-12k at the old Olympic park between 1998 and 2009, to moving into AAMI in 2010 and slowly climbing from there to hopefully this season averaging 20k in Melbourne for the first time.
Hopefully it's not long until a city the size of Melbourne with a sports attendance culture and a hugely successful NRL team is selling out AAMI almost every game and we are looking at putting event games on at Docklands or MCG to boost averages even more.
What a success story for Rugby League. If we can make it in Melbourne, probably the most hostile of markets for our game, we can make it anywhere.
Other two stadiums already sold out
Wonder if they can crack 80 to 90k
Definitely wasn't 48k by the end. Those Dolplhin supporters were leaving in droves.48,359 is the total attendance

Almost certainly will be. 30K sold this far in advance is crazy.I knew about the two other grounds which is great news. Some reports are suggesting the Wembley is close to a sell out but that figure is not even half the capacity.
I do hope its over 50,000
The only problem is the MCG is a terrible stadium to watch anything except cricket and fumble.Justin Rodski spoke in the media during the week of the Warriors game that the Storm have spoken with the MCC about the possibility of hosting the Storm/Warriors game at the MCG in the next few years.
I believe that the Storm/Warriors game should be kept away from Anzac Day now (allows the Warriors to play Anzac Day at home; but also adds an extra marquee game) and for it to be consistently played the same weekend as the AFL Gather round.
A weekend with no AFL in Melbourne; April school holidays; play it at the MCG and promote the game widely.
The other possible marquee game I’d investigate would be a Round 1 home game in Melbourne every season to get ahead of the AFL starting. It would have to be at AAMI or Marvel though as the ‘G is very rarely ready in advance of the AFL season starting
Nope it’s correct, only bottom two tiers on sale at moment.I knew about the two other grounds which is great news. Some reports are suggesting the Wembley is close to a sell out but that figure is not even half the capacity.
