Just brought tickets for kings birthday dogs eels Pax No 25,231, by the way it's going it could possibly crack 60k plus again

I'm sure this far out it's ahead of the Dogs V Souths game for sales!

Hopefully Dogs win next week and Parra next 2 games, this game could get 60,000 + weather pending.

Cronulla should take a lot of game to the SFS.
Their Warriors game, Bears when they are in, the Dogs game. Provided at least some sharks fans are prepared to travel 45m by train those games would get more at the SFS than at the very small Shark Park. As would the Eels game.

Disclaimer:

- This post means no disrespect to Sharks fans

- No I don't think they should ever be moved out of Sydney let alone the shire

- I get that the ground capacity will eventually be increased (I'm sure Sharks fans are just as frustrated about this)

Ok with that out of the way, please don't make the top 4 again this year!!! Shark park is not a finals ground and as we saw last year when you host finals at SFS not even 20k show up. Just finish 7th or 8th and win the Premiership from there if you have to.

Having two 60,000+ regular season crowds in the same year would be absolutely huge, considering there had been none previously.

Parramatta getting Lomax + Moses on the field at the same time will no doubt boost their confidence and their performance. Hopefully they get a bit of a run on and the Eels fans turn out in good numbers. We know the Dogs fans will.

I've got family friends travelling to Sydney that weekend from the Sunshine Coast specifically for that game. It's definitely developing a reputation year-on-year, and is one that fans circle on the calendar when the draw comes out.

Marvel is a great stadium and very sell out- able for the Storm. So far the Storm sell out Anzac day and Warriors...Why not have a season opener at Marvel as an event game ( tradition) as League starts a week prior to AFL.
Marvel is not used for AFL finals, so, given the Storm will have two home finals, they should ask for the stands to be moved in for September and play them there.

I think long term the Sharks should use Shark Park as a training /NRLW home ground and build a venue somewhere near a rail line. I'm not sure there is enough space at Shark Park to build the capacity to 20k and I don't think they will ever get funding for Shark Park whist they own it.

I don't want to see NRL clubs follow the AFL model and play all the Sydney clubs out of a couple stadiums but Sydney clubs should be aiming to have a home ground at with a 20-25k capacity at minimum.

Yeah seems like a reasonable take. Keep teams localish to their area but new modern venues shared with other teams to build a business case.

Roosters/Souths - Allianz
Dragons/Sharks - Southern Stadium
Tigers/Bulldogs - South West Stadium
Eels & Panthers - already sorted

Manly would need a solution but maybe Brooky for 10 games and an annual home game at Allianz against the Bears and one at Suncorp for Magic Round

Hahaha

All the usual suspects

2 points…..check.
Tv ratings…..positive

Crowd bitching….. has no bearing on anything
It has a bearing on crowd numbers, you know that thing this thread is about? If you’re not interested in discussing crowd numbers why the f**k are you posting in this thread? Anytime someone posts some straight facts about how bad sharks crowds are y’all come in here crying about it.

Not to mention it has a bearing on all sorts of things. The game day experience at shark park is f**king terrible and these small crowds at a dogshit stadium aren’t good for fans. It impacts the amount of money the sharks make. It impacts the ability of the sharks and NRL to attract sponsors.

Honestly if it upsets you hearing people talk shit about your crowds just stick to the game day threads, don’t come in here bitching and moaning because people rightfully point out your crowds are dogshit.

I've always thought the Dragons should play the majority of their games at Wollongong and play marquee games in Sydney at Allianz. Their crowds at Kogarah tell me that most people don't really enjoy going there. Just an outsider observation though.

Penrith, Parramatta, Roosters, and Bunnies (if they move to Allianz) are all sorted.

I'd like to see Accor rebuilt into a rectangular 70-80k venue and have the Bulldogs as the major tenant. Maybe the Eels and Tigers can play their marquee games there too, especially if Campbeltown doesn't get upgraded.

Regarding Manly, if they can get a 2 tier grandstand built where the hill is currently, could that maybe lift the capacity to 20k? Then over time they can upgrade the outdated grandstands and lift the capacity to 25k?

It's really just the Sharks, Dragons, Sea Eagles, Tigers, and Canberra that need to be sorted out.
