2025 Crowd Watch

I've always thought the Dragons should play the majority of their games at Wollongong and play marquee games in Sydney at Allianz. Their crowds at Kogarah tell me that most people don't really enjoy going there. Just an outsider observation though.

Penrith, Parramatta, Roosters, and Bunnies (if they move to Allianz) are all sorted.

I'd like to see Accor rebuilt into a rectangular 70-80k venue and have the Bulldogs as the major tenant. Maybe the Eels and Tigers can play their marquee games there too, especially if Campbeltown doesn't get upgraded.

Regarding Manly, if they can get a 2 tier grandstand built where the hill is currently, could that maybe lift the capacity to 20k? Then overtime they can upgrade the outdated grandstands and lift the capacity to 25k?

It's really just the Sharks, Dragons, Sea Eagles, Tigers, and Canberra that need to be sorted out.
Sounds like a good plan.

Reality is that the NRL crowd average won't continue to rise unless something along these lines is done. There are too many small capacity stadiums that are going to act as a ceiling to progressing the league average.

If our current setup remains in place, with the top end of a reasonable average for each club, we'd probably top out at around 21k

Broncos 40k
Dolphins 30k
Cowboys 20k
Titans 20k
Warriors 24k
Knights 24k
Manly 17k
Roosters 25k
Souths 15k (Accor)
Sharks 13k
Dragons 13k
Eels 22k
Dogs 28k
Panthers 20k
Tigers 17k
Raiders 17k
Storm 22k
PNG 15k
Bears 15k

The stadium that PNG are playing at will be upgraded to 25k so depending on affordability I can see them selling out most games.

Settle Gretel, you will have an aneurism at this rate and we will have to check how many bother to visit the hospital so we can tell everyone on here.

We are a good footy side get?

Now peace and love to you sunshine x
You could have just posted ‘u mad’ and been done with it. Again the only reason you’re posting in this thread is because people dared to insult your precious club. Get over and just don’t read this thread if it upsets you so much.

Not sure what the f**k the rest of that shit means but I am currently working at a hospital and enjoying a bit of downtime. Guess it’s a bonus to get Sunday rates reading your bullshit.

Ticket sales have surged in Brisbane - largely because the weather hasn't been trash this morning. Unfortunately the Broncos ticket rep is sleeping, and needs to release the back of some bays in level 7 east.

38-40k probably.
Looking at the crowd, it appears all bays have been opened.

Looks over 40k

A crowd average above 20K with most stadiums being pretty full week in week out is a pretty good outcome and one that seemed like a pipedream just a few years ago.

I think quite a few of the teams in your list have been undersold, south’s in particular.

Yep, all bays have been open for a while now, they just took the back 10 rows off from sale a few days ago when the demand wasn't there, then today there was demand haha.

Does look around that, but the stadium members in level 5 east looks shit which is why 38k wouldn't surprise me

Yeah Souths have the potential to average much higher, but I was specifically referring to their current setup at Accor.

Yep agree that 20k is fantastic, but you'd like the capacity to go beyond that if the game continues to grow.

Marvel is not used for AFL finals, so, given the Storm will have two home finals, they should ask for the stands to be moved in for September and play them there.

Storm aren’t locks for a top 2 spot so might only get one final if they finish 3-6. I’d keep a week 1 game at AAMI but look at Marvel for any week 2 or prelims.
