Wasn't there 40k+ at Suncorp for both Broncos Dogs and Phins Broncos in pretty similar conditions?
On Thursday, April 24 (Broncos v Bulldogs), there was 5.6mm of rain in Brisbane for the whole day, and it was 23C at kick off. Homebush has already had 54.6mm and it is 17.8C with gusts of wind of 28km/h.

Broncos v Dolphins was on Friday, March 28, weather that day 22C at kick off and 6.4mm of rain landed that day. Source for all three: BOM

Not really like for like weather wise. Add in the fact that Accor is a terrible stadium to stay dry in, unless you're on Level 4 or 6.

Suncorp is also far better located I'd argue.

There were not 10,000 Bulldogs supporters at the Broncos game, that would be half of the entire lower bowl which was not at all the case, and Suncorp is predominantly reserved by Broncos ticketed and flexi members.

Probably 4-5k, which was a good effort in any case. Your crowds are good, and your bandwagon is good, but best to steer clear from over-exaggerating/crediting your club for other crowds

Whatever more then the 10 Dolphin fans here.

Comparing a Brisbane Bronco crowd against one of the top drawing Sydney clubs to a Bulldogs crowd against a team which draws no one is stupidity!

This brisbane V Sydney crowd argument is stupidity!

Pretty sure you are looking at the 1 day off for those figures. As they measure 9am to 9am. So rain on a Friday night is recorded under the Saturday.

Tbh just watching those games is pretty strong evidence that there was more than 5mm. And to be fair, both cases were wetter during the game than the rest of the day leading in was. Which is beneficial for crowds, even if it was forecast to be wet.

And agree re Accor.

Weren't the Bulldogs going to challenge the Broncos for crowd averages this year? Not with crowds like that. We've turned up through all sorts of torrential conditions at Suncorp many times me the last couple of years

Also Brisbane teams are the Bulldogs daddies

You know the horses were basically a one team city for 30 something years right. No one compares Sydney crowds to Brisbane crowds expect insecure Brisbane supporters.

Decent crowd for the bulldogs tonight.

Being a Newcastle fan if we played dolphins tonight we would not be getting 10,000.

I reckon we would have dipped below 8000, something apart from covid effected crowds I've never seen happy before.

I didn't realise that, thank you. Pushes it up to 28mm, heavy I admit, though at least Suncorp you can stay dry in the ground if you want to and still watch the game. Pretty much all of those 10,412 people were getting wet at Accor tonight.

The Brisbane v Sydney shenanigans in the LU crowd watch thread is a tale older than time. I can't be bothered with that, both sides sledge as hard as each other.

I agree that there isn't any real purpose comparing the two crowds, I just wanted to share a bit about how our crowds in particular are split given our insanely ticketed membership numbers

“It’s certainly our goal to become the biggest club in terms of attendance – it’s always been in us, we just needed to get back to acting like Canterbury before it could come to fruition,” Dogs CEO Aaron Warburton said.

Yeah the goal long term... not in 12 weeks!

We don't have a stadium like Suncorp as our home ground! You ever been to accor? It's not built for RL.

Anyways 60,000+ in 2 weeks will be the 2nd game we dwarf everyone else.

Just wait till dogs eels gets 60k to 70k and the people bagging the 10k tonight will be saying how wonderful dogs crowds are

If the rain wasn’t so bad it would’ve been 25k easy tonight

Doggies were very flat though tonight

Since the Souths game their form really has been off
