Dogs eels

None of 600 west has been released so it doesn’t look promising

600east hasn’t moved a lot either. The middle bays haven’t been released expect for the back few

Doesn’t seem to be the same hype as last time but maybe as the week progresses it will step up esp with Galvin likely playing

All of Level 6 East only went on sale on the Monday before Good Friday, with four days of availability.

$10 tickets were made available on Level 6 West on the same day.

It’s difficult to compare King’s Birthday to Good Friday because the games are played on different days, and Good Friday has strong walkup demand from the Royal Easter Show.

The best comparison for King’s Birthday 2025 is King’s Birthday 2024. And this is comfortably outpacing ticket sales for King’s Birthday 2024.

I think the game is tracking better for sales however you have to remember this is a game that Parramatta members cannot go to as part of the membership like South Sydney fans.

It'll look worse on the map ATM as GA Away, Bays 401-403 or 404 (Cannot remember) and 601-602 were reserved for South Sydney members (Not on sale)... Those same bays will be on sale for this game! If you remember those same bays were very patchy also as members didn't turn up.

How AAMI Park is tracking for Friday. Black is filled, blue is on sale, dark grey are GA areas which have been selling, but we don't yet know how many have been moved. Assuming GA is selling in a similar fashion to previous Storm home games and there isn't a large member no show because of the timeslot, then we're looking at least 19K+.

How Accor looks so far. Black is sold (or majority sold), Blue is on sale, Grey is yet to go on sale. I've marked Accor Stadium seats as sold, as I doubt they'll be put back on general sale. Majority of sales today have been around Level 4.

View attachment 102687
Red indicates what has sold since yesterday's update. Some decent movement in the south-west corner, as well both Level 4 and Level 6 have continued to move.

Traditionally sales start to pick up after team lists are named (expect that in the next couple of hours), as well late afternoons/evenings move a lot more tickets for Bulldogs games, so hopefully we'll see some more positive movement before this time tomorrow (and ideally some more Level 6 seats put on sale).

The unknown part in the above sales map is how the Blue Zone and Opposition areas are selling, as these are GA.

Bulldogs poised to overtake Swans as Sydney’s biggest crowd-puller

Adrian Proszenko

June 3, 2025 — 7.30pm

Canterbury are closing in on the Sydney Swans as Sydney’s best-attended football team, with the resurgent NRL club attempting to smash its home ground record for a second time this season.

The Bulldogs are hoping to break the record attendance of 65,305 fans at the 32-0 Good Friday win over South Sydney when they host arch rivals Parramatta in the King’s Birthday weekend clash on Monday.
The blue-and-white army has made its presence felt as coach Cameron Ciraldo’s side has rocketed to top spot on the ladder at the halfway point of the season.

The Bulldogs are averaging 29,578 through five home games. It’s a figure that would be higher still if Belmore Oval had a larger capacity and if monsoon conditions hadn’t resulted in just 10,412 turning up for their last match, a 44-8 loss to the Dolphins.

The Swans are still the gold standard for attracting Sydneysiders, averaging 37,570 fans for home matches at the Sydney Cricket Ground this season – but should the Dogs’ crowd on Monday pass 65,000, their average will jump to over 35,000.

-----

“There’s no doubt in my mind that Bulldogs fans are the most passionate in Sydney,” said Canterbury chairman Adam Driussi.

“What we’ve seen this year has been nothing short of extraordinary. Our Good Friday game against Souths drew 65,000 people, and the overwhelming majority were wearing blue and white. That’s the most Bulldogs fans to ever attend a single game – we wouldn’t have had that many Bulldogs supporters even at a grand final.

“We’re on track to exceed 60,000 again for our game against Parramatta. Our hope is to break the record we just set against the Rabbitohs. The response from our fan base has been phenomenal, and we’re working hard to reward that loyalty with a better game-day experience and an improving team on the field.”

-----

Fans have also shown they are prepared to travel to watch their team; Canterbury currently average a crowd of 27,889 for away matches, the most in the NRL. The “Family Club” is also doing a good job of converting fans into members, exceeding the 30,000 mark for the first time in its history.

“We’ve identified other marquee games this year where we believe we can break 40,000 fans, including our matches against the Sea Eagles and Warriors,” Driussi said. “The atmosphere our fans create is becoming a genuine advantage for our team.”

-----

The combination of the Bulldogs’ ladder position, interest in derby opponents Parramatta, a public holiday and the release of cheap tickets has raised hopes of a huge crowd.

“Our fan base has been through some tough years, so we’ve worked hard to ensure everyone can be part of this resurgence,” Driussi said.

“That’s why we’ve introduced $10 tickets in certain sections of level 6 at Accor Stadium. We understand the cost-of-living pressures families are facing, and we want to make attending games as accessible as possible.”

NSW minister for sport Steve Kamper said: “The King’s Birthday match between the Bulldogs and the Eels is set to deliver another crowd of over 60,000 at Accor Stadium.

“Not only are NRL fans creating a great atmosphere at Accor, they’re making history and Monday’s crowd will go close to the largest regular season attendance at an NRL match, set over the Easter Long Weekend when the Bulldogs-Rabbitohs match drew 65,305 fans.

Nice hype article from the SMH. Two of three indicators (media hype and TfNSW travel advice) now indicating 60k is in play. Just need the pax to build up with time as expected and 3/3 indicators will put this on track for another historic attendance.

Blue Zone is now at capacity at Accor. My understanding is again Level 3 will be used as overflow for this category, just like Kings Birthday last year and Good Friday.

Southern GA has sold out at GIO Stadium for Raiders v Rabbitohs in another positive indicator for that match.

Do we think Blue Zone filled much quicker because it's down the end of The Kennel and is viewed as the Bulldogs GA. Hopefully Parra fans can push the southern end to capacity soon as well.

Also think the bay next to Opposion GA + a portion of the bays next to that are being held for Opposition GA overflow. Looked like only half of the second bay went on sale.

Bay 146 and half of 145 are definitely classified as GA. Not sure exactly if they are just those who bought GA seats before that end of the ground was re-categorised or if it's overflow for the opposition GA or a combination of both, but we can pretty much count that they'll be filled come Monday.

Blue Zone does generally sell stronger than standard GA on the other side of the ground with it's proximity to The Kennel and the fact the Bulldogs GA memberships are seated down that side definitely fuel that perception that its the 'Bulldogs GA' area.

Bulldogs have just released some additional $10 seats on Level 6, with bays 605, 606 and 607 all coming online.

To use your ratio formula from Good Friday (using last years Bulldogs v Eels figures) -

Final Crowd figure: 45,496

PAX 4 days out: 33,000

33,000/45,496 = 0.7253
-----------------------------
Out of interest with the PAX above, even though it's about 3 days early.

= pax / factor
= 36459/ 0.7253
= 50,267

To be on track for 65,000 - would want to be at 47,150 PAX by Thursday.

So...

Crowd Projection = PAX / PAX Factor
Crown Projection = 44,000 / 0.7253
Crowd Projection = 60,665 (note this is 6 days out, 4 days out will give us a more accurate estimate based on 2024 comparison)

All three indicators now point to a 60k+ crowd:
- Media hype (Today's SMH article quoted 60k)
- Pax factor (60,665)
- TfNSW travel advice (More than 60,000 expected)

It's going to be cold and raining in Sydney tomorrow, so that might be a speed bump for ticket sales, but the weather forecast for Monday itself has actually improved (9-17 in the city and partly cloudy, 6-17 at Sydney Olympic Park and partly cloudy).

So all augurs well!

How much $$$ will the dogs make on Monday ?

Surely they clear $1m on the day

In revenue from ticket sales, or profit?

I don't know what their margins are like to determine profits but revenue is a bit easier.

If you assume the average ticket price is $40 (based on the fact level 6 east is $10, level 1 south is $35 and level 1 east and west is $65-$95 for adult tickets), and there's 60,000 fans in the house:
Revenue = Average ticket price x crowd size
Revenue = $40 x 60,000
Revenue = $2,400,000

That could also be a conservative estimate, and it could be higher if the average ticket price is higher.

That also excludes merchandise sales, and food and drink sales (not sure how the latter may contribute to a club's revenue, if at all).

I posted earlier the bulldogs 2024 annual report that showed the gate last year was $6 million. As 240000 fans went to their games that suggests an average of $25 per attendee. Given that data a gate of $1.5 million is more likely for 60000. Happy to be proven wrong.

@SLRBRONCOS any update for Bronx vs Tits?
They've opened flexi membership area overflows, still a bit to sell but 38-40k still most likely. Weather looks awesome so might even creep into 41-42k territory but stadium membership attendance will probably be poor.

Stadium members much prefer Friday because they head in from the city after work. Doubtful that many will back up for a second day.
