Agreed. I have no doubt that a move back to Allianz Stadium is in the interests of the club's long term future, but they will need to tailor their marketing and their product to capture the imagination of the next gen + their new demographic just a stone's throw from Moore Park.

I'm a Souths fan and I live in South Sydney. Whilst there's still the rusted on Rabbitohs fans in this part of the world, they are probably more likely to be part of the TV audience, and the strong pub presence on game day. There is a young and diverse demographic that the club needs to work on to get behind the club and into an attendance culture at games.

Merch, collaborations and a witty social media presence probably goes a big way with this demographic:
- Merch = anything retro because the 80s and 90s are currently in vogue
- Collaborations = South Sydney already has a partnership with Young Henrys (good), but they should probably look to expand this type of collaboration beyond beer to things like spirits, coffee etc...maybe even get a cameo on a show like Heartbreak High
- Witty social media presence = getting Reggie the Rabbit to go viral on social media (for the right reasons), so people want to see him and take pics/videos of/with him on game day.

Regarding the Dragons - I moved from Brisbane to Sydney in 2012...and I have to say, aside from ANZAC Day, I don't get where their fanbase is, who they are, or why some consider them to be a "big Sydney club" when they seem to have a stubbornly small club mindset - low membership numbers, small stadia and a refusal beyond ANZAC Day to do anything to engage with the outside world.
I know loads of dragons fans who used to be fairly regular

None goes to games regularly anymore

Just like the dogs have doubled their crowds clubs have hardcore fans then the jaded fans at home which would be two or three times the hardcore base

Dragons will never be a small time club they’ve been crap for 15 years and the minute they get good they will get big crowds

Whilst not every club can be good every year 15 years of being mostly crap reduce the fan base to the hardcore base

The majority of the souths fan base I saw today were young or kids from young families

Accor is a tired stadium I spent half the game watching that big screen it’s such a meh experience wish I never went

Moving to Allianz will solve most of those issues. The other issue are related to a hopeless ceo whose out of his depth in the nrl and should’ve stayed in super league

If Souths don’t move out of Accor then their crowds will keep stagnating unless they are consistently top four

Yep. Souths have plenty of young,next-gen fans out there. I know quite a few longtime Souths fans (myself included) who won't go to Accor (even though I live much closer to Accor than Allianz). As soon as we move back I'll go to the majority of home games at Allianz.

Regarding the Dragons-
Our supporters are scattered everywhere from generational support. I grew up on the hill at Kogarah, but believe we should focus more on the Wollongong area. With more metro trains coming to Sydney, we should move more of our Sydney games to Allianz and make them events. With a token game or two at Kogarah until we outgrow that.

For next year the Dogs and Dragons I believe have an agreement to split the 2nd game expenses and takings between the two clubs because of Vegas... I wouldn't think the Dogs would agree for that game to be at Kogarah or Wollongong so it's either Allianz or Accor depending whose 'home' game it is.

Details of emergency services round including ticket deals and meet and greets with service personnel. I thought it was the health services as the spotlight agency this year but it's the RFS

Weather looks the goods too. If we crack 30k that would be great.

I believe the deal is for our home game to be at “a neutral venue”. Which screams SFS to me.

I think the game profit share is in place this year as well. I read an article that mentioned something about it before the round 1 game.

If that’s true that’s a good move by the red v that should sell out

Now do tigers and souths there too in good time slots there which could also sell out and dragons would be around 25k (ideally Sunday 4 pm)

Leave kogarah for a game with little appeal like cowboys or titans which keeps them relevant in the area

Great idea doing this against an out of state team. I remember the game last year doing pretty well.

Putting the Dolphins game on same week as Origin seems to have back fired big time in Perth.
Not helped by the ridiculous ticket prices ($74 for behind the sticks wtf?), last years game that sold out is looking like around 12k sold so far.
They've just slashed some seat prices today so hopefully more sell during the week. Id be pssed if I paid $89 for a seat that is now $27!

I am imagining the Dolphins game would not be being advertised in WA given all the attention that SOO would be getting.
Thusly, one would think a pretty high number of those 12k tickets sold would be QLDers already heading over for the Origin and staying a few days which makes it a very sensible idea to take the game there in that week. They should advertise the game strongly at the origin itself.

I think that was the idea, for Dolphins and Knights fans to stay for the week but in doing so the cost of both in one week has obviously seriously impacted sales.
Our origin seats are most expensive in the series and the original Dolphins game prices are ludicrous. I think they think we are all FIFO's in Perth!

The Dolphins play a much more attractive version of rugby league than either NSW or QLD, locals will leave the oval thinking RL is nothing but a hit up and bomb style arm wrestle, so they need to reduce the ticket price and get the locals in to see some ball movement.
