There's a reason our crowds were shithouse in the 90s/early 00s and it had absolute nothing to do with the venue.

Definitely, your right in saying that. Not trying to attack Souths, always got a soft spot for the Bunnies. I just don’t know if playing out of SFS full time is the right decision for them, considering how wide spread Souths supporter base is.

As I said, maybe a split between SFS and Homebush, with a regional game would be a better option, similar to the Dragons and Tigers.

I’d love for teams to be packing out SFS every weekend long term, but I’m not sure that will happen.

There's been a lot more activity around Origin week this year in Perth.
Banners in the city, a well attended press conference in the cbd, went to a great League Legends dinner last night and theres been loads of stull going on with NRLWA clubs and jnr sides.

Disappointing to read about Souths + Allianz but not entirely unexpected IMO.

Souths’ leadership will now need to stop up cycling the disbenefits of Accor and try and mobilise the faithful again. Good luck with that. Overall a poor approach, poor process and poor outcome on behalf of those that run the club.

Poor result for Souths, the NRL and NSW taxpayers.
The only positive is it now gives a deadline to the nsw government to sort out Accor otherwise it will lose another Tennant. A deadline that actually gives a chance for a rebuild.

Souths and the media can go on all they want about the roosters but it is solely souths fault they aren't playing at the SFS. They are the ones who signed an agreement to play elsewhere.

To say there are no good seats at ACCOR Stadium is factually incorrect. The problem is there are too many bad seats at a core stadium for rug purposes.

Where is a good seat? I've been maybe 50 times and haven't found it.

A tad disappointing IMO.

- Second highest sporting attendance in Perth this year behind Socceroos vs Japan (57,226).
- Second highest rugby league attendance in Perth in the 2020s behind 2022 State of Origin (59,358).
- Ninth highest sporting attendance in Perth in the 2020s.

Amazing what a great game will do for ratings. The NRL will capitalise on this on the fumblers will hate it

I think now that they've all been to a few the 'Bankwest Club" stadium members and corporates couldn't be bothered to head out in the wet

Yeah maybe it's just the initial response to the figure and its position in all-time Perth crowds. The TV ratings may help to remedy.
