2025 Crowd Watch

It's Been Done

Very good crowd at Allianz considering whoever plays the Cowboys have a history of poor crowds in Sydney. Old Allianz would've struggled to get 15k and would've looked worse on TV. Goes to show how cutting back the amount of seats on level 1 actually makes the more lowly attended games look better

That stadium is the best I’ve attended and easily the best in Sydney imho.

That's a great crowd for the Roosters. Particularly compared to the other 3 shockers this weekend in Sydney.
New stadium, winning culture. Hopefully the Broncos get their shit together on the field and return to the Broncos of old.

Great for the game for Broncos (Brisbane), Roosters (Sydney), Bulldogs (Western Sydney), Storm (Melbourne) to all grow into big 30k+ teams. Key markets in the Australian landscape to have huge clubs in.

I'd love to go sometime soon. So great to see Sydney get some cracking rectangular venues finally, it's our country's biggest city and the national home of RL, RU and Soccer.

There should be a national rectangular stadium 85k (Accor) on top of Allianz and Commbank plus a handful of quality small rectangular stadiums in appropriate spots like Campbeltown, Manly/North Sydney, Southern Sydney/Sutherland Shire and Penrith.

That's gotta go close to the lowest crowd Parra have gotten at CommBank?

Objectively a bit of a stinker, even for the fixture.

Does it feel like the scheduling of games has been worse this year or is it just me?
The scheduling has been significantly better IMO - but it means that when there is a stinker, it stands out.

Our lowest round average this year is around the ~15k mark after 15 rounds... take last year as an example - the best year for crowds to date - to Round 16 we'd had two 15ks, a 14k and a 13k.

Maybe it's just this round that's making me think its bad.

The NRL scheduling the Panthers in Auckland after an Origin in Perth is just ridiculous. Luckily for them they got the upset but Rugby League fans in NZ missed out on their only opportunity this year (unless they meet in the finals) to watch Cleary live. Same with Bathurst a few weeks ago.

After rd 16 2024 (LU figures)
2024 aggregate (121 games): 2,351,631
Match average 19,435
Encouraging to be slightly ahead of last year at this point (1.6%), with Roosters starting to find form, Knights beginning to pull together some wins and Bulldogs doing well, there's a real opportunity to record another year of growth.
