It's the worst stadium in the country and the temp was 2° with wind chil taken into account. Canberra needs a modern stadium near the CBD
Well said mate. It’s always fun to read the uninformed opinions of posters on here. Anybody who has been to Canberra stadium will know that was as good as you can expect in those conditions at that venue.

To maximise crowds for the finals we need Storm and Canterbury 1 and 2, the broncos in the 4 with the warriors and the dolphins finishing 5th or 6th. That’ll guarantee a nice flow of attendances throughout each week. Not impossible.

Are the raiders still threatening to play home games away from Canberra if the stadium situation isn’t resolved?
Haven’t heard a word since March. It’s an empty threat. The NRL needs to step in and put real pressure on. Abandoning Canberra is as dumb an idea as it gets. However alll three codes Refusing to play rep games there might help.

Maybe the Canberra Raiders should just be called the Raiders. Play all there games all around Australia in the biggest Stadiums. THE RAIDERS, THE DRAGONS, ETC, feck the sharks in the shithole stadium or 3rd division ground whatever u want to call it,

Just to demonstrate the growth in attendance culture in Sydney over the past three years, here's a series of tables that show the top 10 biggest regular season Sydney crowds, and their aggregate.

Key point - 2025 top ten crowds are up 4% from 2024, 12% from 2023 and 26% from 2022. And that's with six rounds to go in 2025 with some potentially big crowds (Bulldogs v Warriors, Roosters vs Bulldogs, Bulldogs vs Panthers, Roosters vs Rabbitohs and Bulldogs vs Sharks).

Also note - green colouring represents a bigger crowd in 2025 than the equivalent fixture in 2024...and so on and so forth.

The only people who can get the ACT to find $800mill for a stadium are the voting people of ACT, but not enough of them care it would seem. Taking finals away only hurts Raiders fans.
As the NRL does not have any Min criteria for NRl stadiums its not really got much clout to demand anything. We saw this in Perth when NRL wanted an HBF Park upgrade but the Govt turned around and refused based on numerous other NRL grounds being worse than HBF park and the NRl happy for them to have clubs playing out of them.
