Nah they’ve earned it

Capacity wise it’s still ok

A Canberra prelim in Sydney whilst storm Brisbane or cowboys can play at home is an injustice

You have to wonder, even if:
- Raiders started selling games elsewhere.
- NRL blocked any prelims.
- The 3 rectangular codes agreed no internationals or rep games until a stadium is built.

Would that even be enough? Barr would probably just buy more AFL games.

Canberra gives us back water Aussies a great insight into what happens in the NFL and how they negotiate stadium upgrades with the local governments

Imagine 10 other big cities in Australia offering the raiders a brand new stadium to relocate

Barr and the ACT gov would build a new stadium very quickly if they knew other city's could take the raiders

As someone who's been participating in these thread long enough to drink legally in America (I used to run from the living room to the computer room and fire up the modem to post attendances back in the day lol), it kind of amazes me the standards people have now.

Shit's out of this world, and even a little bit of regression would not be awful as long as the trend over several years go up. Like, what happens if we get another year like 2022 in Sydney in regards to precipitation? As long as it doesn't collapse, good!
Very sage words

It wasn't that long ago we could post crowds of 6000 at the SFS on a. Stand alone Sunday

We can still do better though

Taking into account the error in last year's Monday Expert:
After Round 21
2024: 156 games Aggregate 2,969,537 Average: 19,035
2025: 156 games Aggregate 3,094,714 Average: 19,825

up 4.2%

For a main season record 3,939,710 are needed or an extra 844,996 or an average of 17,604
an average of 18,860 is needed to reach 4 M for the first time

For the Dolphins final game of the season against Canberra at Redcliffe, there's only accessible seating left. The Dolphins and the NRL should be on the phones to Stadiums Queensland to get the game moved to Suncorp as by then, it should have enough momentum behind the match from both sides to possibly break the non-Broncos record crowd for the Dolphins of 35,438

Less than 100 allocated seating tickets remain on sale for Canterbury vs Warriors on Saturday week. I suspect opposition GA tickets (purple) are tracking better than all Canterbury home games except maybe Good Friday and King's Birthday too.

Wouldn't be surprised if Level 4 East goes on sale this week.

On a side note - probably a shame that there are no Sydney club games at Allianz or Accor this week to capitalise on the British and Irish invasion.

Why would you schedule your final game at your smaller stadium?
