Thought I was locked in at the new Christchurch stadium

Wasn’t ever confirmed just an assumption since they played Anzac Day there this year and the stadium is due to open “April 2026”. Have to say I think the Anzac fixture should be Eden Park.

Good to see them returning to Wellington, just wish they’d stop being home team for Magic, 9 games in Auckland is a bit light.

Broncos vs Dolphins in round 24 has sold out - no single seats left. Unsold memberships won't be released until the week of.

Because of how well sold the Souths game is, and the Phins game being sold out, our last game against Melbourne has seen huge demand. It's almost tracking as well as the game this week.

The only thing that can stop a 40k+ average from here would be for us to go winless, or some kind of cataclysmic weather event. Next three crowds should be 40k+, 46k+, and 42k+.
If those are the numbers (40k, 46k, 42k), season total will be 495k, average 41.2k. One target left is the all time record of 43.2k from 1993. Tough to reach if the sellout number for Broncos at Suncorp these days is 46k.

I think the club will look to arrange a buy back scheme like Manly so that they can actively make what would be no shows available again. I had a discussion with the club and they somewhat hinted to me without telling me that it's the corporate owned ticketed memberships that are letting the attendances down.

For example businesses buy blocks of Broncos memberships to offer to staff/clients etc, and they are the ones not showing. But attendance from personally owned Broncos memberships are high. Again they wouldn't tell me but it sounds like they are nearing 65k+ ticketed memberships which includes flexi and one game members, so with these numbers of allocation, all crowds this year should really have been 45-51k+.

Did an estimate for each game remaining. Inputted the most conservative figure I could feasibly see happening - with form and weather. For example for the above games - I put in 39k, 42k and 39k.

Ended up with:

Total - 3,972,714
Average - 19,474

New Record Total Season Attendance
New Record Highest Average Attendance
New Record amount of 20k+ Average Rounds

Just shy of the 4 million
Interesting but I think you have been too conservative.
there is often a peak in the last few rounds that increases rather than decreases the average

Last allocated seating tickets released in the lower bowl at Accor for Bulldogs and Warriors at the same time the first bays on Level 4 East have gone on sale. Level 4 East on sale before games vs Dragons and Roosters (both 30k), so promising signs early for this one. Let's hope it can crack 40k.
