I would've said more. Southern stand was maybe 1/3 full. North stand upper was packed, lower was scattered. Western stand upper was packed, lower looked ok. Corporates looked full.

Went to the game in Gong, the weather was crazy. I reckon even those in the upper section of the northern stand were getting wet.

Strange to see the hill empty. Wonder how people were moved? Did they have to pay extra or just given seats. Ticketmaster was down, most had to get tickets from the desks. It was a bit of a mess.

The stadium could use a larger replay board/video screen.

I reckon there was a genuine 50/50 in the crowd which was cool.

Our 20k+ crowds this year have been at

Suncorp 18 (22)
Accor 8 (11)
Auckland 8 (10)
Allianz 6 (8)
Newcastle 6 (7)
Melbourne 4 (6)
Parramatta 4 (5)
Townsville 2 (3)
Canberra 2 (3)
Robina 1 (2)
Perth 1
Vegas 1

(nn) = estimate for full reg season
double header = 1 crowd
magic round = 3 crowds

When I got there the lines at the ticket box were about 30 deep. I think they were making people swap them over for northern grand stand seats.

We have lower grandstand season tickets but ended up going up the top. The people sitting next to us had GA hill tickets. So i think in the end everyone just sat where ever they wanted.

Agree on the 50/50 crowd split. Was shocked to see so many raiders fans.

We were getting wet in the upper western, so windy. Ended up leaving at half time because of my 4 and 2 year old.

Swans got about 20k today. Is it realistic the bulldogs could overtake their average this year?

Yes.

Bulldogs have 3 more home games - Warriors, Panthers, Sharks - all at Accor.

Swans have 1 more home game vs Geelong at SCG.

If you include Allianz in the Bulldogs home games this year, they need about 50,500 vs Warriors to overtake the Swans next week. A big ask.

Bulldogs vs Panthers could have been huge, but it will be impacted by Thursday night scheduling.

Could come down to the last game of the year vs Sharks, and if the minor premiership is in play for Canterbury.

Allianz is not a "Bulldogs home game" for the purposes of a home crowd average. It's not a ground they play at regularly, it wasn't included in membership, and it's not where the fanbase is.

Same way I wouldn't include Gosford for the Roosters or Souths, Mudgee or Bathurst for Penrith, Vegas or Magic Round for any host team. They're not home grounds and the average crowd figure being skewed by them is meaningless.

That is ridiculous logic.

They are home games. Where a club chooses to play them shouldn’t matter.

Roosters may take a lower drawing game to Gosford with the aim of boosting their average crowd.
Dogs at Allianz should absolutely count.

Maybe Bulldogs should play one game at Accor and sell it out, and then play every other game at various country venues in front of 5000. Then you can claim they have an 80,000 average for the year?
