What'd be interesting to know is if they opened up an end stand at $10-15 a ticket and $5 for kids would it attract a group of lower income fans who cant currently afford to go, or would it just transfer people from more expensive seats to cheaper ones and not make any real attendance difference?
I believe it would add a bit more onto the attendance. Sideline viewing is perfect at CBUS, and is worth to pay a bit more (not $100+ worth). Would love it if we went back to $20 GA like we were in 2023.

And to add on, I believe the suns get a cheaper deal due to the AFL paying for half the stadium upgrades.

The AFL is heavily involved in all stadium negotiations, and to their credit, use that increased bargaining power to help get better deals for the clubs.

They also, because they're the governing body, are able to throw in incentives to help get better deals (ie. Contributing to upgrade costs)

If the Titans, Dolphins, Broncos, Cowboys & NRL all went to Stadium Queensland as a bloc, I'm certain they could get a better deal overall, especially as the NRL (unlike the AFL) can offer carrots like Origin, Magic Round, Test matches, etc.

Really well
Specifically, ticket prices and cost of venue hire.
would be interesting to know what the Suns are paying Stadiums QLD for the use of Carrara though... I bet you it's nowhere near as much as the Titans pay because for some reason every government bends over backwards for that bullshit sport.
Are Vic expats able to exercise undue influence on the GC?

This is a point often made about the ACT.

It’s awesome is what it is!!
Just got tickets. Pax now at 6k. Pretty solid considering the Samoan's and Tongan's I know - it hasn't really reached their community yet. But they'll all be there when it's on. A couple of mentions on Broncos and Warriors games and we should be at 20k+ sold in short order.

I think the rents are comparable

Afl bought the management rights for the suns

So they get to keep the naming rights plus game day revenues like bar and food

It was pretty cheap too

Saturday looks wet in Brisbane. Such a shame because the Phins were working towards 25-27k, but I can't see it happening now.

Their ticketing folk have been as shithouse as possible, again. Cheap seats (bronze and red categories) in level 5 should have been released on Monday.
