A few months ago I remember listening to an interview hosted by Whateley (I think) on SEN and they were interviewing whoever was in charge of the MCG. During that interview he was asked the question about the Storm potentially playing a game at the MCG (this was after the 9 news report on the Storm wanting to play a game there which is why I listened to the interview). He mentioned that the Storm hadn't put in a request yet but it most likely wouldn't get approved during Gather Round because they want to preserve the playing surface due to the constant action it was seeing. I might try and find the interview if I can and post it.

I heard that interview. MCG also said they prioritise marquee events. SOO yes, but not 40k v Warriors.

RL is great at Marvel. Crowds were excellent there last season. 35k - 40k is a great atmosphere there.

It's slowed right down since around Tuesday. Threat of wet weather looks to be putting people off buying (outside of the main grandstand which is sold out). Fingers crossed that any rain on Saturday is restricted to the morning.

Surely!! Be close to a sell out, one team coming off a good win against top of the league and then the other team a good chance at the top 4 and playing good footy.

Another upgrade for the Brisbane forecast tomorrow, now 1-6mm of showers. Wetter in Sydney though.

Promising to see some very visible movement in sales for the Dolphins match with pretty much the number of available silver tickets halving since yesterday.

Hopefully they open up some more of level 5 soon, with Bronze selling strongly.

As for Sydney's weather tomorrow, BOM and Weather.com have both revised their predictions down with a very low probability of rain during the day now. Hopefully that's the case and the Bulldogs & Dragons games can enjoy decent walk ups.

I got home about 1am this morning from the Storm game. Traffic was at a standstill on Swan St and Hoddle Street..

Should be the Knights 12th season with 20k+ average, second only to the Broncos.

Amazing crowd. Poor timeslot, terrible form, bad weather still show up.

Crazy because the knights are a genuine chance of a wooden spoon, I’m guessing not many wooden spoon teams have come close to a 20K crowd average.
