The torrential rain we've had during the season spoiled the outcome of the attendances of what it should've been, and we Probaby would've added another 3 to 400k to our tally, which is disappointing we couldn't

Maybe someone can confirm thatThis year didn’t seem particularly more rain affected than other recent years.
It was more than last year especially the clubs with the biggest crowds in the broncos and dogs (hurt dogs more than broncos)Maybe someone can confirm that
Yeah let's stick to night GFs - atleast start at 6pm would be a better option for young families and overseas viewersOne thing to consider for a day time Grand Final. Today, like many Sundays on the October long weekend over the last decade or two, will top 31 degree at around 2pm till 5.00 pm or so. As such you are asking the players to play a high paced game in very hot conditions.
I've been to enough GFs at Accor to know that with all the concrete, its even hotter than the air temperaturee inside the ground.
If you think I'm exageratting, watch the NRLW GF today. That game will be played during the literally hottest part of the day.
I'd suggest player welfare might be a factor to consider here, and not just "oh I came have a BBQ lunch and watch the footy if its a daytime GF". Not everything in the past was always better.

NzWhat “overseas viewers” are you considering? Most of the world would benefit from a later GF starting time

Start the news after the GF like at 8.30. Like who gives a stuff about hearing about bad news constantly down our throatsI still can't believe the starting time of the gf is being held hostage by the 6pm f**king news.
6pm is the perfect time to start. Pvl better tell whoever buys the new rights to the game that the nrl will be setting the time for all future gfs and if they don't like it they can f**k off.

I've said this on the V'Landys thread and I'll say it again....(long post disclaimer)One thing to consider for a day time Grand Final. The officially recorded crowds in 2018 were all from the relevant attached NRL Men's Finals, incl, the GF.I think that’s the biggest NRLW Crowd ever?
amazingly, they have moved the 6pm news to 5.30pm in Adelaide to accommodate the 6pm start of broadcast...almost fell off my chair!I still can't believe the starting time of the gf is being held hostage by the 6pm f**king news.

During the era when Ch9 Sunday games were only a 1hr highlights package at 6:30pm (technically, 43 minutes excluding ads), the folk in Perth and Adelaide got to watch the full game live in the afternoonamazingly, they have moved the 6pm news to 5.30pm in Adelaide to accommodate the 6pm start of broadcast...almost fell off my chair!
I still remember the years of Friday night games starting at midnight.
