2025 Draw

Meh, don’t see why they’d go Christchurch then, have it in Auckland or Wellington and give it to Chch when the stadium is ready
Did Wellington get a game last year ? If so how was the crowd ?

Guess they are trying to build on Christchurch selling out pre season, round 3 and then the test match and keep that momentum going potentially. I’ll have to get in quick for the tickets as my lad will be super keen

Don’t think Wellington has had one since round one last year, before the Wahs bandwagon really got rolling. I think they got around 16K. Would think they’d get more on Anzac Day.

Seems weird to have a big round game at a smaller stadium. But, I wonder if that is reflective of the fact a sellout in Chch is a genuine full price sellout whereas Mt Smart has price point sellouts where people don't turn up on the day?

The 03 is currently the hottest region for RL. I also hope the Kiwis do more tests in Christchurch, as it will be full witha Kiwi fans.

Teams we play twice:
Raiders (9)
Tigers (17)
Broncos (12)
Dragons (11)
Dolphins (10)
Titans (14)
Manly (7)
Knights (8)

Teams we play once:
Rabbits (16)
Panthers (2)
Sharks (4)
Bulldogs (6)
Eels (15)
Roosters (3)
Storm (1)
Cowboys (5)

I know last year's ladder has little to do with the next, but it reflects a nicer draw for us, but no idea how they do the draw plan, with us only playing 2 tops 8 teams from last year twice.
But this always means little in the past for us.
We also just playing anyone on ANZAC day now?

It’s hilarious watching people carry on about easy and hard draws as soon as it comes out and get so bent out of shape about it

Team performance varies from year to year, this time last year Broncos were considered tough and Dogs easy, how did that end up playing out
You're right, this is hilarious each year. I saw a clip on the ACC insta page, of Manaia Stewart (who is a dud) saying the NRL f**k the Warriors each year, because we're the home team again in Magic Round.

But we play two top 8 teams twice from 2024, and they're the 7th and 8th ranked sides. How much more plum could you get, in that respect?

I also saw something on Zero Tackle that we're due to become the most travelled team in an NRL season, with 116hours on planes and 14 return flights. Obviously that has to do with Vegas - top 4 of the 5 most travelling sides are going to Vegas + Cowboys. The Bulldogs, conversely, have 14 hours and 4 flights.

lol Manaia should have a look at Manly, who have been the home side at magic round every year since it started, and every year have played Brisbane ! That has ended this year with Manly having the bye for Magic Round. Weird stat that Brisbane will be playing their first game at Brookvale since 2015

Being based overseas, the travel part of things is going to be a prerequisite every year, unless they did games in blocks of 3-4 weeks at home then 3-4 away, but players away from families a lot doing that. The trip to Perth that the Breakers do might be on the horizon in a few years time to add some more. One of the worst schedules I’ve seen was last season when the Breakers in the space of 5 days played in Perth, Christchurch and Auckland
