Nope, they are an absolute joke when it comes to reactionary, knee jerk shit.

This "all head highs are bins" thing is going to be a clownshow. We about to see a new record for bins in a single round.

Well you’d have to be a clown to hit another player in the head after this edict.

The Clubs have been informed and so the players have been informed.

No excuses.

Magic Round 2021 about to be put in the shade I reckon. Can't wait!

Remember when all the dinosaurs were going to be put out to pasture, and then the NRL completely abandoned it a week later? Good f**king times!

And some innocuous glance to the head is going to cost someone a few weeks so the NRL can say they are protecting players while Mahoney got away with a grubby act and only sheer luck the player lying on the ground wasn't seriously injured.

.

i'm pretty sure they're talking about all the "accidental" shoulders to the head.

just give them 6 weeks each and we won't see them again.

The NRL scrapped Annesley’s weekly Monday media briefing this year, where he would address the contentious officiating issues from the weekend, because it was said to be having an impact on referees’ morale.

I understand the refs making mistakes in the heat of the moment with one realtime view of what happened. But sheer f*cking incompetence by the bunker is having an impact on the fans' morale. And trust in the fairness of the results. And interest in the game. But if we stop watching/going to games then we are "fairweather fans".

I cannot wait to see how the use of the sin bin will be trotted out this week given the NRL directive. Referees usually nail this kind of thing week 1.

They did nail it in Round 1. They binned Tapine and then suspended him for 2 games for a standard shoulder charge. Since then I don't think any player has been sinbinned for a shoulder despite there being several that involved direct contact to the head.

Is there any other sport or code in the world as reactionary as the NRL? Or one that just changes fundamental rules/interpretations on-the-fly? They absolutely do not care about the integrity of the competition.

just be thankful latrell ain’t playing this weekend during this crackdown. I guarantee a sin bin on Friday.

Luckily radley is also out as he’d have been odds on favourite

Referees have absolutely destroyed the game as a spectacle in the first 4 rounds. Why stop now? There’s nothing worse to watch when an even contest is destroyed by a sin bin. Most people I know don’t go to games anymore because they know the referee will hijack the game.

Is this a picture of one of those people?

How come Papalii didn't get suspended for touching the ref. WK got a week for running into the ref trying to make a tackle
