Roosters - W - they’ll be Origin-depleted
Warriors - W - we’re better
Dargons - W - we have their number
Broncos - W - because I hate them
Storm - W - because this is our year!!!

Roosters look like they’ll be missing Crichton, Watson, Leniu, Toia and Collins. So this’ll turn into one of those easy games we should win that becomes big trouble.

The real question is will we be missing patience, common sense , intent, intensity and smarts.

This round has 4 teams having their second bye.
Storm, Dargs, Cows and Tits.

Puts the ladder into a whole different perspective.

A win this Saturday against the Roosters going into our first bye would be very encouraging.
They have some good players out due to SOO, although I can see Tedesco being very motivated to prove the NSW selectors wrong. Containing him will be a very strong task to perform, which is per usual I suppose but maybe even a little more this time.

I'm thinking this week they'll go with Sifa and Vaeilla on the right (unless Ramien is ok, but I don't think he will be)
With Wilton back i'd say he or Burns on the bench but both in the 17, which covers Sifa's spot on the bench.
Otherwise team basically the same.

No DA in the starting side Please.

He is a utility or a half if one of our halves get injured.

I agree with Sifa in the centres if Ramien is not right to go.

Then find someone in NSW Cup who has at least played some wing in the lower grades.

Not perfect bit we are now looking at our 4th string winger now with Katoa, Stone street and Hiroti sidelined.

Of all the weeks to be have this problem, this is a decent week. Yeah the roosters have 2 big athletic wingers, but the rest of their team should be shit this week - they’ve not been great all year anyway and will be without all but 1 of their best players.
So we will of course shit the bed. Might aswell do it with a rookie on the wing.

Yep…punish them in the forwards while they’re light on. Wingers shouldn’t be deciding this game if we get it right.

I know we wont given how useful Atko was off the bench this weekend but I'd love to go four forwards and role right through them.

Agreed.
But, as I mentioned in the game day thread, Atko bagging a double has pretty much killed any chance of him being dropped in the foreseeable future.
They were tries Stakey could have score, no question, but I don't see SFB having the balls to drop someone after scoring a double.

Plus in all honesty, Tedesco has been better than Dylan Edwards this year.

Frenzy.

The next 6 weeks is a crucial period for the season, IMHO.

Rooters away
Bye
Warriors at home
Dargons at home
Broncs away
Storm away

After that, 5 of the last 8 at home and the only serious contender we play is the Dogs.
Get through next 6 weeks with minimal damage and we're in the box seat to cement a top 4 spot.
WOW!

This will be about the 4th crucial period this year

WOW!

As true as that is, I do think it's crucial to perform well over this next month, particularly after the performance we witnessed last weekend.

It's so hard to back up from one week to the next, and that is especially true after big matches.

That's why top 4, with a shot at a week off, is pretty much imperative.

Give week 1 everything you've got, rest up, let the others beat the shit out of each other in week 2, week 3 you should be fresher and, hopefully, your opposition either busted or just running out of steam.

That's how 2016 played out.

We're there or there abouts at the mid-point.
Have a solid crack over the next month, consolidate the position in the 8, if not top 4, and then fine tune in the run in to the semis.

We get the Rooters again in Rd 18, the Dogs in Rd27 but other than that all other teams we should handle if we are serious.

This next month makes or breaks it for me.
