Every Broncos magic round game.
Broncos have been the away team
So that means Broncos getting more advantage
With more games at Suncorp Lang Park
Broncos hardly ever play in Sydney
Same with Dolphins
Last year. Dolphin's played 27 Games I think
But only 3 in Sydney 🤔
Yep phins getting special treatment going to Darwin, Townsville, Auckland, Penrith, Perth (a home game), Bundaberg, Melbourne and Newcastle in 2024. I forgot the NRL was a Sydney comp.

Plus Broncos are away at magic round to draw crowd numbers. You don't want to take away a guaranteed 40K crowd figure from a home game to put into magic round. That just doesn't make financial sense for the NRL.

All teams only play 24 games in a season.

They only played 3 in Sydney because the Eels (Darwin), Bulldogs (Bundaberg) & Wests Tigers (Brisbane) decided to take games away.

Brisbane was similar, played 4 in Sydney because Roosters (Vegas) and Sea Eagles (Brisbane) chose to take games away.

Of the Broncos 24 games last year, they played 10 outside of Brisbane. Dolphins played 11 outside of Brisbane/Redcliffe.

Compare this to Sydney teams:
- Roosters played 9 out of Sydney, two they took away (Vegas & Gosford)
- Sharks played 10 out of Sydney, two they took away (Brisbane & Coffs Harbour)
- Rabbitohs played 8 out of Sydney, two they took away (Brisbane & Gosford)
- Sea Eagles played 8 out of Sydney, two they took away (Vegas & Brisbane)

I could go on, but pretty much the Sydney clubs travel the least of any teams in the competition, and thats even when they decide to take games away.

Re-hashing something I've done in the past, so re-iterating:

First up, I understand the issues with the below. Teams in the top half of the ladder defeating teams means those defeated teams end up in the bottom half. It also references each team's current ladder position, not the position they were when the teams played each other. No system is perfect. But I still find it interesting.

So, for those interested, this is the draw difficulty of each team in 2025 through 15 rounds, in order of hardest draw to easiest.

When doing this type of thing you're looking for teams that are at the top with a hard draw or at the bottom with an easy draw.

So Warriors/Raiders and Tigers/Knights are the notable ones there for opposite reasons.

It would probably also help to sort the ladder by win percentages too - these buys give a false economy.

I.e. Souths are 14th, but have won more games and a better win percentage than the Panthers in 9th.

Not sure about other weeks, but the movement is pretty minimal here - Souths and Manly would shift up above Penrith but that would be the only movement, everyone else is more or less in the same order:
