They’re the 2nd Brisbane team. I call em Brisbane anyway. I dunno. All the other names seem trite. They rival the Broncos so just be the same name.

I'm from the Strathpine/Bray Park area, and Moreton Bay has only become a thing since I left the area within the last 15 years. Sure it existed before, but the amalgamated council did not.
River City just sounds better than being another Brisbane.

They told the Morton bay council they were going to be called just that. They were pretty upset when they found out they weren’t.

Agree to disagree. "River City" is one of the worse sounding location names for a professional sporting team I have ever come across.
