I wonder if Laurie will throw his hat into the ring for the vacant #6? Both Cole and Schneider struggled to assert themselves, while Laurie's running game would compliment Cleary's style of play.

It was a rough audition for Cole and Schneider, Penrith had a mountain of possession and they couldn't do anything with it.

Canberra to their credit defended well but they weren't asked too many questions.

It just seemed like they relied heavily on the inside play to Kepaoa. I'd love to know the technical name of the attacking structure where the Penrith support runners play tight and extend. It was like an umbrella defensive structure but it's something you often see the Warriors utilise to put DWZ away.

They played for it over and over and only got the result after Canberra struck. Even then, Asomua should have had his man. Made the right choice but got his target zone all wrong and Fale was able to bump off and evade the scramble.
Blazie is 100% the 6

I want Laurie to be the 6 to offer some eyes up footy. Ivan doesn't trust his defence so won't play unless Edwards gets injured

As for the attack that is Schneider has no
Vision what so ever, Cole throw a couple of passes that were on but the timing was out. He should of put both McLean's over but that is trial footy.

The lack of nothing but the little kick from Schneider is of more concern

If Laurie could defend better he would be a good option. Which kind of makes Blaize a head scratcher, will be interesting to see what Ivan has done with him on that front, probably not too much with a bung shoulder.

I'd still like to see Cole with Cleary, it would take the pressure off Cole to do much and we would get to see what his natural game is. Provided he can stay injury free for more than a week at a time.
