I was really looking forward to seeing how the new fitter and trimmed down Latrell went at fullback as he should have been expected to have a higher work rate, compared to previous versions of himself in the past. Now, with another Hammy injury, he is likely to lose a lot of that hard fought conditioning and we will have to hope he manages to stay on track and not blow out again too much - or lose it again by the time he is fit to take the field this year. He still won't be a Tedesco or Edwards style fullback but I maintain he doesn't have to be. There are different styles of player in all positions and that applies to fullbacks too despite the prevalence of the uber fit metre eater types dominating the game at present to great effect.
But Jye Gray now gets the opportunity to make a compelling case to make himself undroppable while Latrell sits out yet more game time.
