Betting agencies can pay out on the Warriors as wooden spooners now. That was just diabolical. Actually feel sorry for them as they have passionate supporters and a Warrior’ premiership would be great for the growth of the game. They haven’t really built on the momentum of the grand final v the Roosters when there was a blackout in NZ (as the story goes) due to a power surge when Stacey Jones scored.

Surely in such a football mad country they can find plenty of attacking guns like the Titans fullback who seemed to bypass their development system. They really need to focus on that rather than signing journeymen like Dylan Walker.
I hate to say it but we're now a contender for the spoon. I can't imagine any side will be worse than we were for round 1.

Harsh on Walker, he was good today and quite often is for us

Walker was pretty good for us last year too, to be honest.

We've made a lot of worse signings than Dylan Walker, and lately (Jackson Ford, Tanah Boyd, Morgan Harper for example)

Is she post menopausal?
It’s a pity Phil Gould wasn’t able to recalibrate the Warriors in the COVID years. Looking from the outside they seem to need a major overhaul. Their backline would be in the conversation for the slowest in the comp (even with Metcalf but he seems to always be injured). CNZ has lost what little speed he had with the Raiders and RTS has slowed down a lot since his return to the NRL (although he still has his dancing feet)

They are thin on outside backs , have no set halves combination(due to SJ retiring and Metcalfe seemingly always being injured) and have minimal forward punch without AFB. You know you have attacking issues when a prop forward is one of your main try scoring weapons and without him there is no plan B.

RTS was used last year as a hit up merchant in the middle of the field early in the tackle count usually alternating with CNK. He made probably 10 to 12 metres each hit up but it seemed an odd use of one of your few attacking weapons. At the same time CNK was having minimal impact at fullback in attack.

Apparently Webster invests in his players heavily and is held in high regard for doing so , but he’ll need to find something extra in his coaching manual to right the Warriors’ ship. A safety first approach won’t win many matches or new fans .
