Guymer missed 14 tackles and made 60m

I think he's got promise as a solid squad middle but even Shaun f**ken Lane would be better on an edge.
Shaun lame doesn't wanna play footy anymore. Guymer is not an edge but with KK out i'd prefer Guymer over that sped Kelma. Young Latu is injured again otherwise he might of got a crack.

Kelma's defence is dicey and he's dumb as a box of rocks but he runs like a train and doesn't miss 14 tackles.

Some teams don't miss 14 tackles...

Or chuck Penisini there and put Bailey at centre.

I keep waiting for us to flex our muscle but we are getting poorer as the season goes on. We find ways to win but it’s not going to be good enough come finals.

Anyway, Parra played quite well and frustrated us into playing stupid footy. With a bit of patience and discipline they probably win.

looking forward to seeing how they go next season tbh.

Grant did that on purpose however that’s not why the rule was brought in. Hookers started literally chucking the ball at guys laying down not impeding the ruck whatsoever. In that instance the parra player was kneeling in grants line of pass. Grant threw it straight at him so correct penalty, but the defender was also taking the piss.
Grant threw it straight into him with absolutely no intention of passing it to the first receiver. You can't reward him for being a cheating merkin.

ahh yeah that’s my point, penalty was correct

however I also don’t think you can simply sit on your knees behind the ruck and make no effort to clear it

This is where I sit. Grant should’ve known better, he’s been penalised in the past for doing it - fair penalty. But there should be a genuine attempt to clear the ruck regardless

On that basis Melbourne need to improve a bit.

It's possible that the team begins to adjust to missing Hughes and Paps gets better and better. Still enough good players and experience that I don't write melbourne off yet. But do need to start finding fluency.

Yes agree with you and Vic but if there is a rule to be exploited in the game you can guarantee that Melbourne will be at the forefront of it. They are one of the worst offenders of just standing in the middle of the ruck. Just standing there. When the dummy half is trying to get into position the big lumbering forward (commonly NAS) will just throw their hands up in the air instead of actually moving out of the way.

I think the Storm have been way off all year, they're mainly getting wins over other teams being poor. But losses to Saints, Fins, Manly were all games youd expect them to win in previous years. Even close wins over lower teams like Souths (twice), Parra etc were very terrible perfoamnces. Grants the only spine player playing their best, rest are all way down.

They desperately need to finish 2nd, if theyre 3rd and face the Dogs at Homebush infront of 75k Dogs fans in week 1 theyll be way up against it. I dont see them Beating a Raiders or Panthers atm, need to improve significantly to match them.
