Exactly he was sitting right in the play the ball making zero attempt to get out of the way.
it has been Parras game plan, backfired on the tui try but otherwise slowed Melbournes attack quite a bit, can see it trending in coming weeks

It’s the dogs to loseThat’s embarrassing from Melb , they are not winning anything this year
Guymer missed 14 tackles and made 60m
I think he's got promise as a solid squad middle but even Shaun f**ken Lane would be better on an edge.
Shaun lame doesn't wanna play footy anymore. Guymer is not an edge but with KK out i'd prefer Guymer over that sped Kelma. Young Latu is injured again otherwise he might of got a crack.Guymer missed 14 tackles and made 60m

Hello Gus GouldParramatta lost that more than Melbourne won it.
Grant threw it straight into him with absolutely no intention of passing it to the first receiver. You can't reward him for being a cheating merkin.Grant did that on purpose however that’s not why the rule was brought in. Hookers started literally chucking the ball at guys laying down not impeding the ruck whatsoever. In that instance the parra player was kneeling in grants line of pass. Grant threw it straight at him so correct penalty, but the defender was also taking the piss.

This is where I sit. Grant should’ve known better, he’s been penalised in the past for doing it - fair penalty. But there should be a genuine attempt to clear the ruck regardlessahh yeah that’s my point, penalty was correct
however I also don’t think you can simply sit on your knees behind the ruck and make no effort to clear it
Yes agree with you and Vic but if there is a rule to be exploited in the game you can guarantee that Melbourne will be at the forefront of it. They are one of the worst offenders of just standing in the middle of the ruck. Just standing there. When the dummy half is trying to get into position the big lumbering forward (commonly NAS) will just throw their hands up in the air instead of actually moving out of the way. This is where I sit. On that basis Melbourne need to improve a bit.
It's possible that the team begins to adjust to missing Hughes and Paps gets better and better. Still enough good players and experience that I don't write melbourne off yet. But do need to start finding fluency.
