Well Game Day is upon us once more usually I am excited going into Game Day but it just feels hard to get too excited about tonight up there in enemy territory at Suncorp Stadium. One of my mates is going up there with his partner for a few days I told him try to enjoy the trip overall even though it will likely be a long night for us this Friday. So we played the Broncos earlier this year who could forget that night what a feeling to be there where we came back from 14-0 down at halftime and that 49 metre Trell field goal to what win it for us. Since then we have really struggled and have been absolutely destroyed by injuries. We came into this 6 and 13 and off the back of 8 consecutive losses and it really does hurt it stings so badly. And we face the Broncos who have been hot and cold this year but they sit with a 10 and 8 record and they were upset by Parra last week at home. The Brisbane media has absolutely hammered them all week so I’m expecting a big response from them. Whilst they probs can’t make the top 4 they’re playing for a 5th or 6th placed finish on the run home and a home final. Madge will be hoping for a big response from his boys this week. For us we all know how well the boys did last week to nearly beat Cronulla and my fear is I worry how much that took out of us and deflated us given how many injuries we have currently we have lots of Cup players in our side too.

Looking at the Broncos they have brought back in Cobbo this week he brained it in QLD Cup last week so Madge will be looking for a big performance from him. Then they have Walshy and Staggs and we all know how electric they can be when they turn it on they’re so hard to stop. Then up front they have Haas who is just an absolute animal we all know how good he is and young Willison has been playing well and Carrigan at lock we know the quality he has so they just look to dominate you in the middle with those big boys. They have Ben Hunt back at 9 as well we all know the quality he possesses there. Then we get to the halves Reyno and Mam well they both combine so well together. Reyno as well off the back of that pack gets his great kicking game on as well and controls the field position and does what a very good 7 should do. If we are to be in this game for long periods we have to try stop the second phase as best we can but that’s far easier said than done. We have to defend our try line well and work as a team in defence like last week against the Sharks we defended better. If we switch off at times Brisbane will really hurt us. Looking at our side well we have lost Junior and that’s a very big blow he played well last week. Losing Wighton as well it goes from bad to worse. We see Munro dropped too with BBH coming in. We do welcome back Humphreys so that’s a positive. With Wighton out will be interesting to see who plays 6 and who comes onto the bench. Up front we see Arrow partner Keppie. I need more from Keppie last week 6 runs for 38 metres sorry it’s not good enough. At lock we we know what Hubby will bring and Host starts on the edge again partnering Aitken. Really I can ask is the boys put in and do their best that’s all I ask. Once again I’m not sure where our points or spark come from apart from what Jye Gray can create. Let’s hope the boys have been working hard on a few attacking plays at training this week. It’ll be good to see young Ashton get his oppprtunity again this week and also a shout out to young Thomas Fletcher on debut this week. What a proud moment for he and his family they’re all Souths diehards too apparently. I’ve heard rumours the club might not want to keep Tom next year but here is a great chance for him to show the club we should keep him on if he goes out there and kills it.

To all those going to the Game hopefully the boys give a few things to cheer about!

Club has told Schuster, Shaq and Myers they won’t be offered new deals for next season
The Loft states:
Dodd and Shaq have really been given no chance. The Loft prefers Shaq to Kelpie, the latter has no skill whatsoever. At least Shaq can make a play just limit his time on the park an rotate the man. Dodd has a deep Palmares of success yet from the outset everybody simply put the guy down. Could Humphreys or Sullivan lead a club in the SL - or anywhere for that matter - to three consecutive Titles plus a win over Cleary @ Penrith when they were at full strength? The Loft sincerely doubts it, neither are good enough. Yet Dodd has been treated like this, as if he is incapable.

NRL Physio saying Mamouzolos had delayed concussion symptions which is why he isn't replacing Humphreys in the 17. Souths have no 18th man we have no players left

Did we not take the other players we named in the squad for the round to Brisbane? That’s just dumb management

What a crap play from Keppie !

Carelessly bats the ball away after a knock on to a Broncos player who runs 30 metres up field !!!

If we had enough fit players he should be banished to reserve grade for the rest of the year !!!

Accepting mediocrity is what has brought this grand club to its knees the last couple of years.

Sam couldn’t accept it, said so and moved on !!

Never acceptable having 60 points put on you by a team in second gear without their best player !!!

The Loft's Opinion for our malaise:
It appears as though our club has become softer than Marshmallow, from the inside it has decayed. Sam B was pushed out and from an external view, it seems as though he was totally unstatisfied with effort and discipline.
The Loft trusts Sam B more than the Club Hierarchy and individuals such as Demetriou or Ellison. Accordingly, The Loft theorises that senior players in the group have taken too many shorcuts both in terms of attitude and training, which has impacted negatively on overall team effort and performance. Most fans know exactly who that arrow is pointed to. In most games, our squad is gassed early or relatively slow, falling behind has become the norm. The cadence of virtually every opponent is high, whilst our cadence is very slow.
Hence to have any crack at reviving the squad, the club must make hard decisions and begin breaking up what is failing. Most of the established senoir personnel should be let go and unfortunates like C. Graham medically retired. The only senior personnel retained should be Murray, Alex J, Keaon K, Arrow, and perhaps one or two other such as Tass and Tatola, BUT the rest should be removed. Crucial decisions need to be made during the off-season otherwise we shall be discussing exactly the same problems this time next season.

The Loft well he is absolutely shaking, terrified!
You are not forced to leggere what The Loft wishes to state and from The Loft's perspective whom are you to authorise anyone outside of a McDonalds to do anything?

Precisely my son.
Skip Bayliss and S.A Smith always when discussing NFL football, mention one key word: ACCOUNTABILITY. At present, the club has zero accountability, getting within 20 points is now considered admirable. And the plethora of blessures really must come down to practice sessions, as many have previously argued. However what is being done about these issues? Rien.

The Loft is as genuine as genuine can be. Certainly no distemper, dementia or any other affliction.
To this point: The Loft has given at least 60 Blood Donations, among many other things. Is still donating too: the Red Cross recently described The Loft as quote "amazing"!.
Handy head... how many people have YOU aided during their life threatening surgery or children dying of cancer, eh?
