Real 2024 Warriors feel to this. We’re winning the ‘grind’, low error rate, but it means nothing because we have no attacking threat and other teams do

Yeh couldn’t agree more

Energy levels are good
Kick chase and getting down the field

Think it should be enough for the roosters but you never know

Radley HIA was on my bingo card.

Roosters/HIA should be an option on Sportsbet. They'd be about $2.80 for x3 HIA's I reckon.

Looks like it's been great defence but the attack has been average so overall, feels like a bottom 8 game. But it's early days so that will happen. Not finals-worthy footy though.

Close game though. You might only need an Egan burst from dummy half if this continues.

Roosters need to keep throwing it around. Warriors line speed, even on the edges was great. Teddy needs to get around the ruck, especially if Connor is ruled out.

a flop relative to expectations

If he was supposed to be Billy Slater I guess.

The bloke’s first season was better than anything Kevin Locke ever did, and Locke never did anything either immediately before or after Tomkins signed, yet somehow this narrative started that we lost the great Kevin Locke for an English flop. It’s bizarre.

The Warriors attack is really weird. The shape looks great but everyone seems to run a line straight at the defender. I’m not sure if the play makers are giving it to wrong runner, they’re passing too deep or the line runners are just bad their job. Maybe a bit of everything. Either way it looks entirely non threatening and has since the start of last year.

For sure. 2024 form suggests we eventually find a way to lose any close-ish game (where a close-ish game means a game we are basically dominating the grind but where our lack of attacking threat keeps the opposition in the game).

This so much this, I’m glad someone else saw this. It’s like they run to be tackled.
