He absolutely can not. It is Ponga by a mile at the moment, surely.

I dunno, Ponga’s a mile better than Walsh in every aspect of the game other than speed, but Slater will probably still pick Walsh and throw Ponga at prop again or something.

Leniu would not have gone near JT unless JT said something to him tonight.
Should not have happened but would not have if not provoked

Spencer Leniu has launched a verbal tirade at former Cowboys legend turned Channel Nine commentator Johnathan Thurston in a fiery on-field incident at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

Following the Roosters’ 26-16 win over the Broncos on Friday night, Leniu allegedly approached Thurston and voiced his disapproval of comments previously made by the former Queensland and Australian representative.
Sources with knowledge of the situation talking on the condition of anonymity told the Herald that Thurston was stunned by Leniu’s remarks.
It is believed Leniu’s Roosters teammate Siua Wong intervened. The incident is believed to have been captured by Nine cameras.

Spencer came from the field with 20 minutes to go and allegedly called Thurston a f---wit. He approached Thurston again after the match and allegedly referred to him as a f---ing c—.
They crossed paths again in the tunnel after the match, with Leniu admitting it was in relation to the Ezra Mam racism row in Las Vegas last year.
Channel Nine had advertised that Thurston would be conducting post-match interviews inside the Roosters sheds. However, he was later replaced by Cameron Smith.
Thurston was critical of the NRL’s punishment of Leniu last year after he was found guilty of calling Broncos Indigenous player Ezra Mam a monkey and banned for eight weeks.

“The NRL had a great opportunity to make a stand, not only for the game but for society as well,” Thurston said on the Nine Network’s Today Show last year.
“I think the game has failed in this instance. I don’t think the eight weeks is sufficient for what has been said and the mental scars that have been brought up with what our culture has endured since colonisation. It was a great opportunity to go 12 weeks as a blanket ban for all racial vilification if you are found guilty.”

Yes Spencer, Thurston is a f**kwit and a f**king merkin but admitting the reason you exploded on him was because he (rightly) said your punishment wasn’t harsh enough is f**king stupid.

Grow up princess.

And not for the better.
I'm going to go against the grain here. 6agains vastly improved the game because it stopped the insufferable wrestling in the game. Teams should stop cheating. It's pretty f***ing clear what the 6agains are, despite fans whinging ... "we dOn't eVeN knOw WHat they're beINg caLled for"..... they show it on the screen.
Ruck infringement ... team is deliberately slowing the ruck
Offside ... not sure this requires an explanation

Teams cheat. I remember the wrestling nearly destroying the game. I'd switch games off because it was so f**?ing boring, having an attacker stopped, wrestled and then when the referee called held, the defenders would throw them to the ground. Or who can forget the classic, defenders getting their legs tangled up during the tackle.

It didn't need the 6 again for that. Refs have a whistle. Hands off the second held is called. Penalty if not. Coaches work that out very quickly and instruct players accordingly. It STILL happens. Get your hands off the bloke playing the ball, or trying to play the ball. The pushing the head down while they're trying to get up to play the ball should be an instant penalty. It did not need the 6 again rule.

Have you forgotten the 'penalty crackdown' that was attempted in 2018?
