Josh Schuster "has been cleared to finally make his comeback and will line up against the North Sydney Bears on Sunday, despite initially not being named in the side." - according to Foxsports.

First up, great news for both our finalists in the junior comps with both winning today!

The Matts boys won their elim final 18-14 against Manly to stay alive in the comp and will play the Steelers in the semi next week.

The SG Ball side won their QF against Canberra 30-28 and now get a week off before playing in the Prelim fresh and raring to go in a fortnight. The Roosters made the other prelim and also get a fortnight off while the Eels will play the Dogs to see who plays us the week after and Storm face the Raiders aiming to meet the Roosters in the other prelim.

Awesome results for both teams. Well done!

Meanwhile our JF side got pumped 8-40 by the Storm while the NSW Cup side lost 12-30 to the Bears with winger Max Lehmann grabbing a hattrick of uncoverted tries for our only points.

Well, we won the JF match to get off the mark for the year winning 30-6.

The NSW cup match went the other way, getting pumped 18-62, leaking 11 tries. Not exactly great.

Watching the scores come in on nswrl.com, the Matts boys are fighting hard.

They opened the scoring after just 3 minutes with a try which was converted for 6-0 and added a penalty goal on 10 minutes to make it 8-0. A bright start. But 2 tries to the Steelers before halftime meant we were behind at the break by 8-10.

The Steelers then went further ahead with another unconverted try to make it 8-14 but the boys came back hard with 2 tries and one conversion to lead again 18-14 with 1 minute remaining and that was the final score as South Sydney HM boys have qualified for the prelim next week!

WOOO!!! Great result. Both our boys teams will be in action in the prelims next week. Awesome stuff!

The other semi saw the Roosters knock out the Roosters. Not kidding. 2 Roosters teams in this comp but the CC Roosters defeated the Sydney Roosters so got to prefer that. :D

We (7th) will play either the Knights (4th) or the Wahs (3rd) in one of the prelims and obviously CC Chooks (5th) will get the other. The Steelers were minor premiers but are now out in straight sets while the Sydney Roosters finished 2nd and have also gone out in straight sets.

We are in this comp up to our eyeballs!!! Awesome result lads!!!

Quite incredible luck for the boys prelims next Sunday, April 27th.

Both Rabbitohs boys teams will be playing their prelims at the "neutral" venue of Redfern Oval while the other 2 prelims for both grades will be played at Leichhardt.

The HM match v the Wahs starts at 11.00am followed by the SG Ball against the Eels at 1.00pm.

Lets hope there's a decent sized attendance to cheer both sides on to make this year's Grand Finals in both grades!!!

Anyone have results?
Yep.

Predictably, we have lost both lower grade matches. The Flegg side went down 22-32 while the NSW Cup side lost 20-50.

The NSWRL site for our Cup match has been down but I managed to find an Eels blog where someone was describing the points as they were scored. Apparently Schuster was involved in virtually all of our tries mainly through kicking.

Onto the big junior prelim finals tomorrow where hopefully our fortunes this weekend will turn around.
