Blacktown are playing in Massey this season after Manly went their own way. Blacktown have come up with a feeder arrangement with Souths. So I'm guessing players who don't get picked for Souths Cup will be able to drop back and play for Blacktown

St Marys scored 4 tries in the first 3 quarters and Blacktown scored 2 in the final quarter. It looks like Blacktown will be completely reliant on players coming from South Sydney. Sam Stratis, who played 6 games for Wests in 2021 is the only one who has played RMC. St Marys had a few SS players and presumably the rest were from A Grade.

Two former St Marys players turned out in the Brothers v Bulldogs Trial.

Sadee Sub Laban was playing for Brothers and Adam Runchel was playing for the Bulldogs.

Also journey man James Mirceski turned out for Brothers

I believe Brothers have also signed Jesse Sene-Lefao for the season.

Mounties v Brothers in Shield and Massey tomorrow (Saturday Feb 15) at Mounties ground.

At Ringrose last night: RMC - St Marys beat Wenty 7 tries to 1, SS - St Marys won 5 tries to 2.
At AKR today: RMC - Mounties beat Ryde Eastwood 36-28, SS - Mounties won 30-28.

A number of restarts were kicked dead on the full. Mounties have halved the size of the ingoal this year, perhaps to make the North Sydney players feel at home.

St Marys have retained a fair chunk of last years' squad and have added Aden Perry, Sam McGregor & Matt Curl (Ryde Eastwood), Brad Keighran & Dylan Marshall (Hills).

Ryde Eastwood have a few players returning - Mitch Gray & Brad Cousins (East Hills) and Callum Ellis (Roosters/Glebe)
as well as picking up Kyle Cassell (Wenty) and Josh Maree (Canterbury)

Mounties have retained more than 20 players who appeared in RMC last year and have returning players - Jack Miller, Rydge Smith and Ailand Davis-Pihema plus a few new faces.

Glebe should have a decent team again this season with Dylan Napa, Asipeli Fine and Antonio Pelesasa added to the forwards and Dean Whare and Craig Garvey retained.
