True but call me cynical having just appointed a new manager it would be in his interest to move him on & earn some $$$ from a new contract. Just saying !

Wouldn't say I was cynical but I am suspicious. I had a look at which NRL teams have spots still available. Most sides have 1 or 2 spots. Roosters have 5 and Storm have 4.

If he can't attend a physical meeting or can't even be sat up in bed with his untouched breakfast tray to take a Zoom meeting then that suggests a worrying degree of mental fragility...to the extent that perhaps the NRL should consider whether he is any longer fit to be a contracted player and whether he should be, for his own sake, medically retired.

I mean, it is all about player welfare, right?

I was thinking more along the lines of his doctor telling him to have a complete break for 2 + weeks. No phones, no meetings, just a complete break from footy. See how you feel after that. Not much you can do about that as an employer if it's doctors orders.

Unfortunately alot play the mental health card to get out of a situation and the sad thing is those that actually have a mental issue are looked at sceptically. While you wouldn't wish mental issues on anybody, and if he is suffering that he recovers, but would be interesting to see if Molo suddenly perked up if somene throws a $1m pa contract at him.
