Impressive ratings. Was a big game of NRL as i think it was sort of being viewed as a bit of a pre final matchup. The current leading team versus the incumbent who’s coming back with a vengeance. Great game too.

To be fair to fumblers they don’t even know the history of the code and that its roots are also in England or that the first game of afl was played on a rectangular field

But vfl clubs in Australia do have round 40 extra years to have established themselves

Which makes their poor tv ratings puzzling

Quite a few current rugby league clubs were formed in the 1860s

1895 was a schism not a breakaway
