Not actually up to the AFL, its up to Seven. And they choose to do it this way. And almost every occasion except 1 i think, the NRL has won the night anyway so doesnt change the head to head much

If you are going to use sleight of hand and combine the ratings for two games, you'd at least think you'd win the night.

The AFL 'national game' narrative is a myth. They are in serious decline in two of the most populates states in Australia that represent 55% of the population and our TV ratings in Melbourne are strengthening whilst theirs in Sydney are cratering.

Reach can't be taken seriously as it measures channel surfers or people just flicking on briefly to check the score. It's as legitimate as Cleary being an AFL junior

So ill give you the breakdown how reach works now.
If you love flicking stations to check scores. Which i don't but but but.

So that means you could be clicking back and fourth 50 times, and that makes out you've watched the program 50 times in one night and that's how reach is determined. So guys let's start clicking away back n fourth lol and then our reach will be higher
