Huge work from the tail mostly Carey. That knock might end up being the difference.

Also 9 no balls. Plus 10 in the first innings. Compare that to our 2 no balls in the first innings. In these types of matches every run counts. This also might haunt SA.

A practice match against a county or something would’ve been ideal when we haven’t played red ball cricket since January. A test final that could possibly decided within 3 days is underwhelming imo.

It's been good bowling and terrible batting. Entertaining for sure, but not really worthy of a "final".

but iin the dinkum department SA are winning this . Clear as day deck is tons better to bat on now, and will be chasing sub 250, even sub 300 they do it , though we go into day 4.
I think it’s there destiny to finally not choke after an easier path to the final..

I think the choke factor still looms large. They batted to not get out on day 1 and if they are defensively minded again in their 2nd innings, that will be Aussie's biggest asset.

Just pre-ordering the weather - sun out 1st session for our tail to wag and get us a lead well over 250.

Then clouds to come in when it's their turn to bat under heavy skies and evil voodoo atmospherics to do their thing while the rain holds off for carnage to occur.
