Khawaja was an important piece at the top of the order when we had lunatic Warner at the other end.

But if anything, Khawaja has become more laborious since Warner retired.

Khawaja fell off a cliff when Warner waned. Ditto Marnus. I don’t think a lot of people realise just how important Davey was. It is also no surprise that when Konstas got off to a good start on Boxing Day both Khawaja and Marnus looked good.
