2026 Crowd Watch

With All Stars, Pre-Season Challenge, Vegas, Origin, Magic Round, RLWC2026 and even some club games now on sale, thought it would be worthwhile starting the new thread.

MAGIC ROUND:
Unsurprisingly Sunday at Magic Round 2026 has completely sold out, with all tickets, including restricted view and single seats bought. Saturday is closely following, with all categories down to single seats, with Friday the only day with anything more.

Whilst I'm sure there are some tickets being held back for tour groups / etc, that may get released later, it's a pretty safe prediction to say Magic Round will once again sell out.

VEGAS
Sales for Vegas has been pretty static since early December and slightly ahead of the same point as last year. Possibly sitting around 32K.

Re Vegas, if they can get a 5 to 10% increase on last year, that should realistically be what is aimed for.
Honestly, considering the decline Vegas has had in the past 12 months, if we can even equal last year's numbers, it will be a success.

Not many people want to visit USA right now. No surprise Vegas isnt tracking as well. Be interesting as well if number of neutrals has dropped, I can see it being a one and done for many given distance and costs involved. It'd be interesting to see the breakdown of clubs by tickets sold for this year and previous years.

Looking at the first couple of NRL rounds (outside of vegas)

You would think both warriors and broncos are guaranteed sell outs Friday night. Interested to see how dolphins do on Sunday. That's poor scheduling IMO as broncos unfurling the banner will be the hottest ticket in town.

Both sides then play again in round 2 at suncorp in shit times... broncs thursday and dolphins sunday night. The members have a job cut out for them.

Roosters/souths round 2 will be 40k unless weather is real bad.

Of the A/NZ based games in Round 1, all are a chance of selling out except for possibly Dolphins v Rabbitohs. Hopefully though that game can push 35K+.

With the Dolphins game in Round 2, the only slight positive for them is the kick off time is 6:15pm AEDT, so it will be at 5:15pm local time, which isn't amazing, but slightly better for fans to travel from Redcliffe and the Gold Coast.

Surely it will be very hard to get tickets to any Broncos games this year. That alone should see an uptake in Dolphins crowds as it will be the only way for other footy fans in Brisbane to see a game live.
It's a shame that they don't play in Sydney until Round 7. The club has a decent sized supporter base Sydney, provided they don't absolutely fall apart at the start of the year I'd be expecting bigger than usual crowds for a lot of their away games as well.

Would be great to see all Broncos games at Suncorp sell out this year as it'll hopefully lead to Dolphins games at Suncorp beginning to sell out especially if both teams make the semis. This would help the push for a 3rd team in Brisbane as I'm not alone in hoping that's where the 20th NRL licence gets awarded.

Can't see the Melb game selling out on a Thursday , might get 23-24K
Dolphins won't either ofc , 30K plus would be good

the other 4 will all sellout

Vegas should match the 45K of 2025

One New Zealand Stadium sold out in five days

One New Zealand Stadium has sold out of general seating in five days, a full five months ahead of the One New Zealand Warriors’ debut NRL clash at Christchurch’s new sporting venue.

Tickets for the June 21 encounter with North Queensland hit the market only last Friday but the public snaffled the last of the 22,500 general seating capacity today to make this the fastest selling regular season game in the club’s history outside the opening match against the Brisbane Broncos in 1995.

“It’s also a warning to everyone wanting to see the Warriors in our other games around the country this year: Get in quickly or risk missing out.”

At the same time. tickets have been selling fast for the nine Go Media Stadium home games that also went on sale last Friday.

The Warriors’ Preseason Challenge clash against the Manly Sea Eagles at McLean Park in Napier on February 14 is close to selling out while the Anzac Day fixture against the Dolphins in Wellington is also selling well.

First official sellout, only 203 to go...

I imagine they'll announce sellout for days two and three of Magic Round soon.

The next expansion has to be NZ2 based out of Wellington, it would be criminal to not have a NRL team full time based in that new stadium.
