A great start to the year and best of all we have 2 big rounds coming up to continue the momentum.

Next week has the Brisbane Derby (sellout), Sea Eagles v Roosters (sellout), Warriors v Tigers (sellout) and then we have Bulldogs v Knights, Cowboys v Storm and Panthers v Eels which all should push 20K.

We then have Easter Weekend with Good Friday & Easter Monday matches bringing in large crowds, Gold Coast is hosting Brisbane with that match already almost sold out and Knights will draw 20K+ their Easter game versus the Raiders. Sharks might even sell out their game against the Warriors if they are still undefeated.

We all know for the Dragons to reach thier potential they need to scrap Kogarah, but I can understand why Dragons fans in Sydney like the ground (even if they barely turn up).
I think 5-5-2 split is fair at the moment. Maybe after a few years of success and a rebuilt WIN it could be revisited.

Honestly what did the nrl expect scheduling the cows at home at this time? Up there with dolphins titans at lang park last week
as in why have the Titans up in NQ at this time of year?

Or why have an NQ home game at 5:15pm local?

the second, Cows at 5:15 on a Sunday feels crazy with the amount of travelling their fans do (compared to every other team).

Not sure what the NRL was thinking with Sharks Dolphins at 4:30 Saturday when Cows Titans would've made way more sense.

Both late Sunday afternoon games have been poor picks from a crowd perspective.

Next week's Titans v Dragons game at 5:15pm will also struggle. Most Dragons fans in SEQ are Brisbane based and after 3 loses, I don't expect many to make the effort.

I guess, unlike the other two rounds, there wasn't an obvious replacement match to put in the spot.

Gosford now with 3 great pubs next to ground is a great night out .. really need more content going forward

Home games for Sydney teams next year like

Sharks v bears
StG v Bears

Would all sell out and be double what they would have got

How many home grounds should the Dragons have?

The clubs will never go for a pricing cap, especially your more popular clubs when it comes to big games (ie. Roosters won't sell a ticket they can get $100 for to a Rabbitohs member for $15) but there should be some rules to ensure all members can get a discount.

There should also be rules around family pricing and pre-purchase discounts IMO and clubs should be encouraged to price based upon the quality of the game + timeslot.

yeah 5:15pm sucks for our fans but it's better than the Friday slots and Thursday. To get 17k considering there would have been lucky to be 500 titans fans there and the way we played the first 2 games (absolutely shitful) it's a decent effort.

Sales map updates for Round 4. As a reminder, blue seats are what is currently on sale. Grey seats are either sold or on hold. Pink are member re-sales.

Warriors v Wests Tigers
Outside of one member re-sale seat in the western stand, the only seats left are in the southern upper stand. Match is likely to be sold out by Wednesday at current rate, making it the third sell out for the Warriors this season.

Bulldogs v Knights
Bulldogs first home game at Accor for the season. A few changes to the old Ticketek sales map, firstly The Kennel is significantly larger than the 4 bays it was last year. The sales maps don't align with the membership bays either, with the Blue Zone member seats actually no longer in the 'Blue Zone' areas. Bulldogs have also increased the size of the away GA and are now selling reserve seats in the south west corner, shrinking the GA area.

Match is trending for 20K+, though the fact the club is only selling every second row in the south-west corner indicates they're not anticipating much more than 25K.

Panthers v Eels:
Panthers sales map for CommBank looks very positive, and arguably is ahead of where Eels v Dragons at the same time. Panthers do a good job putting their members right on the sideline, so at least that area should be packed, and hopefully the Eels faithful turn up in solid numbers as well. This match is trending for 20K+ IMO.

Cowboys v Storm
Unless the match is scheduled in a terrible timeslot, like a Thursday or Monday night, generally Storm matches in Townsville go close to capacity, and this isn't looking to be an exception. A sell out isn't out of the question, with the club already selling into the back 4-6 rows in a lot of bays in the upper stands and with little left in the lower bowl.

This is nearer my guesses than Barney's more optimistic set. You've both gone for 17k in Canberra, I hope they'll do better than that.

Wait till we start getting 6.15 pm games on Sundays in the middle of winter. 🤯
