Moreton Bay was such an easy win of a name. I agree though, they're just waiting for the Broncos/Titans/Cows to enter the QCup and then rename themselves Redcliffe once the QRL can no longer say no.

Moreton though, it works so many different and broad ways:
- Moreton Bay City Council (where they are based)
- Moreton Bay the body of water (Bribe down to the Southern Bay Islands in the Northern Gold Coast)
- Moreton the island (in the Brisbane City Council boundaries)
- the 'West Moreton' region, being Ipswich/Lockyer Valley/etc
If they really want Redcliffe would Moreton Bay-Redcliffe Dolphins work? Much in the same way as like Canterbury Bankstown or Manly-Warringah does.

I mean we were never going to replicate last season, that was off the back of the Dogs being a good side for the first time in 10 years... all things lined up for them.

But this should easily be 50k here and I doubt it cracks 40k. And it would probably be 18-20k if we weren't playing the Dogs.
I reckon it’s close to 50k

Just go with Redcliffe, it’s the Redcliffe club in the NRL. Who stops supporting South Sydney because they don’t live in South Sydney, do most of Collingwood’s supporters live in Collingwood? Do Manchester City prevent adding to their supporter base because their name is confined to one city? Etc etc etc
The whole change your name to capture more fans theory died in the 90s with the Sydney Bulldogs and Sydney Tigers and “The” Sharks.

Both South Sydney and Manchester City represent a broad area. Redcliffe doesn't.

Collingwood has over 100 years of history behind it. The Dolphins are a new club in the NRL and need to represent a larger area than just Redcliffe. They are supposed to be the second Brisbane team, at least what's what I keep getting told.

Redcliffe to Suncorp is like heading into the SFS from Penrith or Campbelltown.
And? Dedicated fans will make the effort to attend games. Suncorp is obviously a more suitable facility if Dolphins are selling out all of their home games at Redcliffe. Save Redcliffe for pre-season trials.

Vossy and Brandy on Fox were saying near 60 000. Lol!
You'd think with all the years Vossy has been commentating, he'd have a better read on attendances at Accor.
I'm thinking around the 50 k mark, give or take.

If they start making top 4 and winning comps they could easy become Brisbane`s second team.

Using the Panthers/Dogs game last year as a measuring stick. It seems slightly smaller than that?

Gees it filled up immensely in that last 30 mins before kickoff. Probably 40-45k here. 30k Dogs fans.

Yeah, well, the NRL was not looking for a Manly type club as the new Brisbane team.
9000 crowd is an absolute joke.

While the crowd was bad, I will admit the Dolphins jersey is much better than it was last season and earlier. It is a very nice jersey now.
Has the crowd figure been released, where is 9000 coming from?

they do play most of their games at Suncorp and average pretty decent crowds there,
