Yep. In 2019 the Dogs pulled home crowds of 6K v North Qld and 7K v Newcastle.

I don't know what people expect of dragons crowds after 15 years of being shit. Losing teams will have terrible crowds no matter who they are.
Just did a count, 5 crowds under 10k in 2019, 4 in 2018.

What's our history in Darwin for crowds? I don't recall it being sell outs. Very interesting because Darwin is neutral territory between us and AFL, which the AFL were probably in front of us.
" Were" ?
We've had 4 out of 16 Premiership games played at either TIO Stadium or Richardson Park
1991 - Balmain v Panthers - 13,246
2021 - Eels v Broncos - 12,056
2017 - Eels v Cowboys - 11,968
2023 - Eels v Broncos - 11,864

Queensland teams are definitely most popular up there, Eels v Dolphins being next with 11,094.

Trial matches taken to Richardson Park in 2007, 2009 and 2010 also sold out and the only Test match played there (Australia v Samoa 2017 RLWC) also sold out at TIO Stadium.

Southern GA has finally hit allocation at Allianz Stadium for Roosters v Knights. Between 60-70% of Bay 229 has also gone. Will be interesting to see if they both opening up Level 2 South, or if they'll just try and force everyone into the other areas on Level 1.

Darwin

an NRL town these days
The google search interest has grown by 20%. in 5 years, all organically. Play at least 3-4 games a season there, spread out every 6-7 weeks, featuring a Queensland team. It could also be a good spot for Bears away games for the WA influence. See if you can get the temp capacity up to 15k.

I think bringing in an NT team into the QLD cup is a no brainer. Imagine if one day the NT cup team made it into the State Championship game and played in the curtain raiser before the NRL grand final...
