Imagine being from one of the best parts of Sydney that everyone wants to visit when they come to Australia and then not using that name ?

The Roosters are Sydney's team though like the Sydney Swans, Sydney Sixers, Sydney FC who are all based in the Eastern Suburbs.

The Rooster's club is in Bondi Junction

If you look at real estate sites, they sneakily have other non-Eastern Suburbs areas listed as being in the "Eastern Suburbs"

Nah. “Sydney” implies all of greater “Sydney”. Travesty that in a comp with 8/9 Sydney clubs one is named “Sydney”.

Roosters are a Syd cbd club. Known to most as The eastern part of greater Syd.

Deflection bra. Ain’t greater Syd’s team is the point. Marky Bouris stated on a poddy that they had a vote to revert name to “Eastern Suburbs” with the vote being a 50/50 split.

And yes their current logo is awful. Probably the worst in the comp now that the Broncos have changed theirs.
Surely an updated version of the classic Eastern Suburbs logo isn't too far away.

Gees Brisbane's logo is an absolute shocker - can't even tell what the word even says as it looks like arisbane and what animal is it as it doesn't look like any modern-day animal - doesn't even mention Broncos on the logo

Overseas teams have the same logo for many years and won't change. and don't need to.

i had in mind West Coast Bears or WA Bears would be picked (a bit more general)

IIRC PVL and Abdo were very clear about the requirement of the team being called Perth around the time of the official announcement.

If it was based on that poster, it explains why the old logo looked a bit lopsided (especially when viewed in a mirror)...
