Minimal Travel and a Sydney-Focused Run Home

In a huge boost for the playing group, Parramatta will record the least amount of travel kilometres of any NRL club in 2026. After Round 13, every match will be played in Sydney, with the Eels leaving NSW just once in Round 25 against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium.
FFS, who writes and edits this shit?
Every match will be played in Sydney - except the one in Brisbane and the one in Wollongong (Round 27).

That’s copied and pasted from the Eels website haha, I did think the exact same thing.

It's obvious that AI has picked up on our ability to find our own way to the ground on game day.

I dont mind it. A lot of day matches. No Friday night at Commbank and no 6pm games at all. If they win the first 2 it would be great.
I think that pitting us up against the Storm at home in Round 1 is a good thing. It's best to face your demons head on rather than run from them. Besides.....litmus test.

Having Warriors vs Bears only once a season and always during Magic Round would help neutralise (equalise?) that travel distance between the two furthest apart teams.

Bears will cop it the most

Going to sydney / brisbane is twice as long in distance it is from Auckland
I believe the bears will get blocks of games

ie 4 games at home in a row, then 4 games in a row in Sydney and they’ll base themselves there. They’ll play all the QLD teams in back to back weeks are stay in SE Qld etc
