Yeah, it's amazing to see a lot of ex-Ch9 personnel on Fox now. As you said, Yvonne, Matty Johns, Blocker, Vossy, Finch.......also Bryan Fletcher (he did the Sportsbet Kick for Cash segment on The Footy Show in 2013), Benji Marshall (who was contract with Ch9 until he signed a deal with Fox)

I remember that time when Fletch was a bit serious.

Also forgot to add Tim Sheridan and Ben Ikin.

Yeah, Fletch was also on the post-Vossy Sunday Roast IIRC.

Forgot about Sheridan and Ikin.....wow, that's a lot that have jumped ship from Ch9. Must be a very toxic environment there.

Bit like the cricket commentators Lee and Hussey get punted from 9 and have since had gigs on Fox.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. You mean Rochford was a part of 'Beau Knows' when it was actually good in the first 2-3 years before it became monotonous and boring?

STAND-UP GUY MAKES FOOTY FUNNY

ONE of the rising stars of the Fox Sports league coverage is undoubtedly James Rochford, brother of television medico Andrew.

The ‘other’ Rochford started his career at Nine’s sport, where his brother approached then boss of sport Gary Burns and asked him if James could secure a gig in the Nine stable.

At the time, he was working on the golf at Fox Sports and doing a stand-up comedy routine. James quickly cottoned on, became Beau Ryan’s producer on The Footy Show and was one of the first people Burns poached when he moved over to Fox Sports.

The rest, as they say, is history.

James is now the producer of cult segment Fletch and Hindy, and has his own stand-up comedy routine on the program ‘Not the NRL News’.

Nine’s loss is clearly Fox Sports’ gain, with Ryan’s segment now a shadow of its former self and ‘Professor’ James Rochford an indispensable part of the Matty Johns juggernaut.

i can't stand the f**ker and never watch NRL 360 because he's on it
Yeah, I avoid watching NRL 360 just because of him. Ikin I don't mind all that much, but Paul just plays the contrarian all the time. It looks like sometimes he doesn't even believe what he's saying himself.

Though they did have someone from Fairfax on the other night, didn't they? I could handle a weekly show that involved journalists from different organisations, both print and web, and broke up the Limited News narrative. It would have been great to see someone from Fairfax call out Hooper for his bullshit reporting in the wake of the FTA TV deal.

All they had was a Blocker retro period no mention.of whos playing

And repeats of recent grand finals

Which they had on.only a few weeks ago
The EPG lists details of games. The Manly v Parra GF's from 1982 & 83 were on today, then Sharks v Broncos from '89, Sharks v Broncos from 2001 & finally Sharks v Broncos from last year (this was a top game despite it being so recent).

Tomorrow has 2012 GF for Storm v Bulldogs, then 2009 & 2012 games between Rabbitohs & Wests Tigers. I don't mind these - just for casual viewers at pubs & clubs, plus a small percentage of people at home. With some matchups there'll be a much smaller selection to choose from.

Maybe they'll show more variety in other timeslots - possibly 10:30 on Monday would be ok? I understand replaying 360 at 8:30, because 6:30 is traditionally for news or people still coming home from work. Then the wife/partner might have the tv from 7:30 for reality type shows, so 9:30 for a replay of Matty Johns' show is reasonable.

What a week. Queenslanders only show, 2nd best show of all time behind Broncos Insider.

Also, Broncos top of the table. Doesn't get much better, boys!

And there it is. A sample of Foxtel's target audience - the lowest common denominator.

Brain injuries to players in our game is not a good thing but at least it gives these merkins someone to relate to.

13 to 1 was utter garbage. Was thinking it'd be like a 'boots'n all' style of presentation. But in the end, it's presented like a lazy, wooden youtube 'Top 10' video...
On the couch and League Life easily the better of the shows imo.
